    Love my Pechauer Break Cue!

I love my pechauer break as well. Mine is 19oz with a white diamond tip. The stiffness of the shaft also is a plus for me.

    Mosconi cup live streaming?

Is there going to be live streaming of this year's Mosconi Cup? Was there any last year? I think SkySports is doing the TV coverage so I guess that I can always pay for a Sky Go monthly ticket and watch it online from SkySports itself. Is this the only way?

    Looking for posters of players

Hey, I am looking for some wall posters of pool players. I have searched the web and yet haven't found a site selling those. All I find is those "dogs-playing-pool" posters. I had seen an amazing poster in a room of a sideways view of Johnny Archer breaking. It was taken the exact moment when...

    What book to get now?

Practicing Pool by Capelle is a good book to have. What I consider an absolute must is Modern Pool by Ralph Eckert. He is one of the greatest billiard coaches worldwide and his book proves that. I own several books on pool (about 15) and this is the best one by far.

Anyone have score updates for the US Open

Haha! We love him the way he is. I hope he never gets to the AA. :p (I don't think he needs it anyway) To all of you guys who watched the PPV these days which match do you think was the most thrilling? My vote goes to the Archer-Appleton. With the Klatt-Appleton a close second.

    Congratulations Darren Appleton!

What a performance. A true champion. He seemed like a machine. Never getting out of line, and only missing one shot. The Dynamite has exploded and he wiped out so many big guns this year. Congratulations to Putnam as well. I don't think I will watch this perfect and simple-played pool anytime soon.

Black Diamond Tips??? Good, Bad and Ugly???

Well, for its money, the pechauer break is a very good break cue. I have made breaks with the Predator BK2 and the Mezz Power Break Pro as well. These last two seemed a bit better to me(by only a small margin, nothing dramatic) but they are a bit more expensive. I like the shaft of the pechauer...

    Hatch vs Archer

Did anyone see the match live? I saw the scoreline today and was surprised that JA lost 11-4. (he played with darren so well) Was Hatch on fire?

    Jason Klatt vs. Daz..

That was amazing pool out there. I am not from the US and had never heard of Klatt before. This guy can really play! How old is he? Has he won any major events? I was stunned by his performance and of course Daz showed his class with a tremendous comeback.

ATTENTION- ABP News : ABP Guidelines & Format for Sanctioned Events

You do realize that what you described right now is pool in its current state? All sports have big sponsors. It would be nice to put a pool table in the middle of a football field and fill the whole stadium with spectators. The income from the tickets would be enough to pay for the prize money...

ATTENTION- ABP News : ABP Guidelines & Format for Sanctioned Events

Snooker became popular when the BBC launched a small tournament on the TV in the late 60s. Then, World Rankings came in, a World Championship, several pro tournaments started, and then finally sponsors started showing interest in the game. It is not the exact same pattern but as you can see...

ATTENTION- ABP News : ABP Guidelines & Format for Sanctioned Events

It's not breath holding. What ABP is doing is a form of a strike. It's really more simple than it looks. Not every pro pool player is making enough money to live at the moment, which let's face it, is unfair. Some jocks who kick a ball around a 100-yard pitch make enough money to feed the...

ATTENTION- ABP News : ABP Guidelines & Format for Sanctioned Events

Sponsors outside pool is the only way to go in my opinion. Pepsi made the start with the US Open. Let's hope more will come along the way (an organized pro tour would help in this). Snooker was sponsored by the tobacco industry until Britain banned all tobacco advertising. Several tournaments...

ATTENTION- ABP News : ABP Guidelines & Format for Sanctioned Events

I can honestly say that the best way to promote the sport, is by creating a serious Pro tour which in the long run, can provide big payouts. Consider this scenario: You are watching a pool game final on the TV with your wife for example, who doesn't know anything about the game. Your wife asks...

ATTENTION- ABP News : ABP Guidelines & Format for Sanctioned Events

Pool Pros are not even "real" Pros. There is no real Pro tour. There are no big time sponsors outside the game. (Pepsi in the Open this year is an exception) Television coverage is in decline. Snooker on the other hand, has a pro tour, which is covered by the television. And you know what is the...
