    Leon Sly review

You guys are cracking me up! Other than the A+ next to Playability:, none of the "review" points ever makes us believe that anyone has even hit a single ball with this cue! Where's the talk about the feel, the way it draws, follows and stops, etc? While the cosmetic, construction and service...

Just wondering if anyone has any experience converting the realitively inexpensive hard shell gun cases into cue cases? Thanks!

Strategy for keeping an old Joss West "All in the Family" - (Long post)

Well, I can't go back and edit my topic line to make this post more catchy... ...BUT... ...If any of you have ever pawned something for a friend, I'd like to know how it turned out, and if there were any gotchas, etc? TIA, Fred PS. Any guesses on what the old Joss is worth?

Sly Ebony - a few shop photos

Was that the Bacote with the SW rings? If so, that's the cue that got me wanting a Sly.

    Hot Chick Teaches Pool

LOL, and from the looks of things you're a 100% player too! That ain't no girly-debutante cue stick you've got there. Nice!!!

    Hot Chick Teaches Pool

You don't even have to know how to play pool. If you have the right stuff you can sell monthly subscriptions for streaming video of you doing your ironing, for example. And having lived in Hollywood for awhile, I just have to ask, you don't have a package, do you?

    What is with this site?

I stumbled on to a way to get back on sooner: CTRL + Refresh calls up a fresh copy of the page. I was hitting the cached copy until I did that key sequence.

Strategy for keeping an old Joss West "All in the Family" - (Long post)

I called a buddy the other day, first off to see how he was weathering this current economic crisis. And secondly, to make it perfectly clear that I wanted first dibs on the early-mid '70's Joss cue that I sold him 30 some years ago, if he ever wanted to sell. Seeing as how he has been the...

    Netflix - Training DVDs

Does anyone know if Netflix has any billiard training DVDs? I can't seem to search for anything other than those DVDs with "pool" or "billiards" in the title. Thanks in advance - Fred

Sly Ebony - a few shop photos

The cue has a 1/2 joint on it. It'll be interesting to see how she hits. I am not into naming cues, but if I had to pick a name, The Dark Knight would seem to fit...lotsa black on this club. BTW, this was a Christmas/B-day gift from my lovely wife. Thanks lovely wife

Sly Ebony - a few shop photos

These pics were different from the usual cue photos, so I thought I'd post a few pics of my new Sly being finished up in Leon's shop. Leon is a real gentleman and has been wonderful to work with. Thanks Leon!

Twilight Zone "A game of pool"

Also, were they in heaven or hell awaiting their next assignment? It looked like hell to me since all of the object balls looked identical.

Twilight Zone "A game of pool"

I noticed that too, but the cue ball did travel out of the frame where it is possible that it contacted an object ball and drove something to the rail. Not likely but possible. One point that nobody mentioned was that on the last ball where they didn't use the 15 as the break ball, the initial...

Need help with the name of an old pool hall

When your post first came out I spent a little bit of time digging around trying to find some info...(I guess I can't resist a treasure hunt) but found nothing. With the new info this sign from Boulder Billiards came up. Looks to have quite a bit of character!

Unfortunately, I can relate to that problem when playing with weaker players. How about starting with the 3 ball ghost?

    Help deciding on custom maker

The interesting answer to this question would be to order the same cue from all 3 and keep the best one.
