Feedback on My Stroke & Mechanics – Looking to Improve Fundamentals

S.L. nice cut to the chase post.... glad the OP ster took it right. To me pool IS a sport. anywho In 76 on the hill in an event in S. CA, was worn out & rolled over in the finals. I was in my late 20's :). WTF? :) I was in the Olympic time trials, speed skating in my youth, the coaches always...

    WPA vs WNT break format

Nice post Matt.... Yep, diggin' in'.... givin' it your best and climbing back ''into the game'' and winning. It's a feeling that won't happen allot till ones game matures. In your earlier yrs, luck created some wins, and your taste for MORE. You Knew you had to improve. But when...

Feedback on My Stroke & Mechanics – Looking to Improve Fundamentals

Correcting your simple/known mistakes will create your baseline of body movements. Once these foundational aspects of you game are in place, you'll improve, gain better control of whitey and the game will become easier.

    WPA vs WNT break format

In my prime yrs 91-91.... 2 & 3's then a good safety held up all day long.... 5's were not that common in those Camel yrs/PCA/Pro Tour Mackey yrs. Small pkgs and a hook often got you 4-5 games ahead in a race to 11....a comfortable start. Most all top players never made more than two mistakes...

Feedback on My Stroke & Mechanics – Looking to Improve Fundamentals

Watched for a minute.... It wouldn't take much to improve your game, you've got allot of moving parts already in place, but I noticed ''right off'' body movement during execution, and a bridge hand concern. Find a good instructor.

Didn't look at your video. The foundation of Any home is more important than the home. Once that's built, then proper cue stick movement/aiming can be developed.

    Tips For This Shot

Bob looking at your red draw shot line tells me your aiming fat, that's why it draws back above the shot line. This is exactly how my shot outcome might be, depending on the pocket size. This is an advanced shot, most players don't have the swing rhythm/stroke to pull it off. The spin/speed are...

    Tips For This Shot

First off set it up and shoot it many times and tell me if you tend to over cut or, under cut the shot. With that information I might be able to help. My guess w/o seeing you execute is your not hitting straight through your chosen contact spot on the cue ball. I practice a very similar shot...

    WPA vs WNT break format

Refs have the ability to give a ''first waring''.... after that they will do what they feel is fair/necessary to penalize the repeat offender.

    9 Ball 2 Shot Shootout

Roll out-Mosconi Cup Pro Play.... 3rd subject.... That's why I'd prefer to fly on my dime to lets say the US Open 9 ball event. Single Elimination, race to 5 best 3 out five sets. If I'm an up/coming player I will save Big by not having the H.H. Hotel Hook$ in my wallet. If I draw Gorst, I'll...

    9 Ball 2 Shot Shootout

I'd enjoy seeing to pros locking horns playing winner break race to 13 roll out 9 Ball. Best two outta three sets.... Much more interesting than watching em play 10 ball, spot the ten call everything. What you'll see with this Format.... Extremely Aggressive play, opening up clusters, moving...

How far away does the cue and OB have to be away from each other for it not to be a double hit?

Welcome to pool. A beginners question, but a good one. Not applicable in many bars situations due to its just a game/not a sport. Looking forward to your replies. Might be a few that aren't real helpful. good luck

I think it's just mental now. He must learn to Never let up on Any shot. Relaxing and shooting a shot 97%.... ain't gonna get it with 4'' pockets.

    Best 2025 US Open Match

If you go to 13:20. My favorite shot/Sound of the Match the 4 ball upper r/h corner. 17 minute mark the 3 ball combo, not something one sees very often. Atencio should of won but he made a few bad decisions with easy shots. He'd run out perfect, But twice he had the perfect Natural rolling cut...

    Best 2025 US Open Match

I found it pleasing just hearing the two men, pocket balls. They both hit ''through the shot'' very good. Always enjoy hearing the ball slap the back of the pocket, w/o any roll on it, like Sigel. I've always said, you could blind fold me, walk me into a pool room with 50 tables, and if Mike...
