You ALWAYS want to face off your ferrules, if not, then you are placing your trust in someone else that may or may have not done it correctly, or done it at all. As far as the tenon twisting........ that's a PERFECT scenario for you. Keep twisting the ferrule and if the tenon breaks off, then...

I have yet to perfect putting on a linen wrap, therefore I tend to shy away from doing them. I don't have a lot of experience with wraps. That being said, I have a cue with an existing wrap already on the cue, the wrap is nice and tight but it's getting some age and it feels fuzzy and rough on...

Same as Gary. I just replace the tip for free. THAT being said, I have one of the tip centralizers and if they bring me the old tip (and 99% do) I can put the same tip back on dead perfect.

Go get some small dowels from Lowes, a box of cheap LePros, a bottle of super glue and practice your ass off until you can cut the tip down without cutting the dowel. ;) Lee Casto

it's an Encyclopedia for cue building. VERY detailed. Just about any question you would have related towards cue building will be answered in the book. It is a wealth of knowledge.

It is exactly as it implies. Generally speaking, when a cuemaker cores a forearm (or any other part of the cue) they usually bore the forearm out and insert a 3/4" (or other size) maple dowel all the way through it, therefore coring the forearm. Sorry I don't have any pics of my own, but these...
