    question about brunswick

True True you need to extend the slate shelf to make it play tougher like a Diamond.. 1/2"to 3/4" should be plenty deep enough take some measurements and see what you like you might find it only needs 3/8-1/2" added on to give you back a shelf for the balls to rest on. Remember if you extend the...

How would you level this Gold Crown???

Slates are from 2 or 3 different tables you can tell from the staple marks, backer boards and thickness. I assume it came from las Vegas I have done 6-10 tables from that area all have had mismatched slates. Just shim it, glue it and Bondo it and it should be fine. Maybe a touch of glue on the...

    Slate mismatched

Depending on how close you trimmed the extra cloth it should be reusable. You might need some pliers and maybe some 3m glue for extra hold when you install the cloth again. Look in unusual tools section to see some duck bill pliers or sheetmetal pliers tha you can buy @ Orchard supply or some...

super gluing slate line, not clear

When you go to dismantle the slates you can score the slate seam with a razor knife and or use a screwdriver flathead to wedge between the slates to split the seam. Old tables its a bad habit to just lift up on the slate if it has pins you blow out the seams. If you do lift up on the slates just...

    Gluing Cloth

Brand new glue bleeds through faster then slightly older glue also. The trick is to lightly roll it on like touch and goes with an airplane. If you press down then roll it, then it bleeds real fast. If you store it in glass quart jars it kinda ages it so it';s not as liquidy but still fluid...

    Level-Acceptable Limits

I rough with large levels then go smaller to get close to perfect sometimes you have to split the difference from side to side to get equal or level. close is close but perfect is sweet.. Not everytable can be perfect or 95% or better but I try my best to achieve it. We all have ways of getting...

    Level-Acceptable Limits

There are peaks and valleys in the slate nothing is absolute flat. 8" to a 12" level work best for slates some including myself have 18" levels but smaller will make you go nuts chasing the peaks and valleys. By using multipule levels it makes it easier to see what needs a tweak here or there...
