There is a new pool hall in Pinellas County, the Crooked Cue, that is trying to put together a APA Masters league on Tuesday Nights. I havent had a chance to pop into the place yet, but I hear its a nice establishment.
I am going to work on putting a team together for next session.
I like the...
BRYAN SAD.
Rep to you for doing such a good thing for that poor dog.
I love my pug.
edit: Crap, I have given out too much rep today. ill get you tomorrow!
My APA 9 ball league starts at 730 and ends around 11pm.
I stopped playing APA 8 ball entirely after getting out at 1am more than once on a Thursday. :-( Watching two SL3's miss balls for 2+ hours in a race to two is Painful.
Fortunately I have already come to the conclusion that there is -0- money in pool. :-)
Yeah regular job!
That being the case, I still have to feed the endless pool addiction by continuing to improve!
lol. I did that against another 8 about 3 weeks ago. I couldnt buy a roll, and I pooched a couple easy outs putting me behind 30-62. The guy missed and I ran out the last 35 balls (I was still an 8 at that time.)
I had no idea there was a patch for beating a 9. That is ridiculous! lmao. wow...
Playing 4's and 5's can be a real chore. It was hard enough as an 8. Considering you have to spot them 4+ racks. All it takes is one bad roll off a break, and you get hammered. The No-Push-Out rule becomes more and more irritating the farther you move up the handicap scale.:angry...
In the APA, 5 players play on a given league night.
The total handicaps of those 5 players cannot exceed 23. The handicaps in APA 9 ball league range from 1-9.
For Example:
Player1 is a 9
Player2 is a 2
Player3 is a 2
Player4 is a 6
Player5 is a 4
The totals of those handicaps are 23. This...
After many years, I finally reached one of the many goals I set for myself in pool.
This week I was raised to a 9 in my APA league. :-)
Unfortunately, that means I probably wont be playing all that much due to the 23 rule. It seems that I have outgrown the APA.
Looking on the bright side...
I just finished my lesson with Mr. Lee today. All I can say is it was SPECTACULAR. I'll put together a more thorough write up next week.
After 12 hours in the pool hall, I am flat-out exhausted.
I cannot wait to begin incorporating SPF, PEP, and all the other fabulous acronyms into my game...
I agree, the place is gorgeous.
Now if only I could shoot Dan's speed! :-)
I was up there last night giving a friend of mine waaaay too much weight on the Diamond Bar Boxes. I usually only like playing on the big tables, but even the 7ft diamonds are a pleasure to play on.
oh no, the tables at Strokers are better than Park Place. PP and Strokers both have Robertson tables, but the ones at Strokers play much better.
Hammerheads tables are the Bomb. I Love Diamonds. :-D
I should have been more specific! I am very pleased with Hammerheads :-) My 9 ball team...
I wish Strokers had an APA 9 ball league. I drive past Strokers to get to Hammerheads every Monday Night! :-P
8 Ball league runs way too late some nights. 1am on weekdays is unacceptable! :-)
I would much rather play free pool at Strokers. Their tables play 100x better than the tables at PP...
