About ten years ago Steve built me a cue with a leather wrap, at the time he told me it was the best leather wrap he’d done!!’ To this day it’s almost impossible to distinguish the marriage of the wrap and it’s not a closet cue!!!

I’ll tell you my opinion. You can pay $15 hundred or 200,000 thousand for a Mike Bender cue and other than cosmetic’s the cue will play the same!!!! Mikes Cues are identical in playability.

I will say that Mike Bender cues are if nothing else (and they are) are built with a precession of detail bettered than NOONE!!! Better yet they PLAY!!!!!

No they were not. The first I traded for a fishing trip. It was Ebony , Ivory daggers and pink ivory. The second I bought from here Purple Heart heart ivory and ebony. The last I have is Ebony and Red Morrel. I have better photos some where.

Well , I’ll say this; I was told by Bill Schick if I was going to play with anyone’s cue other than mine it would be Mike Bender!!!

I’d ship it to a dealer let them inspect first than pay for it. A bit extra shipping but worth it.

I still regret selling my Southwest it was at the time probably still is the only pernambuco cue Southwest had built.

Hercek learned from a master. Shick said if he was going to have a cue other than his it would be a Mile Bender.

Steve makes a damn nice cue. I’ve had a Gus and Barry both built for me. Shick, Southwest, Mike Bender, Gina, Hercek, unfortunately don’t have them all now. I do have a Dunkel and Bender. The Bender is stiffer but both play better than me.

My opinion I’d rather out shoot a person but if I can win by fouling an opponent out, I’d do so.

I’ve sent my wood to Searing, Mike Bender, Schick, Kiekle, Southwest, John Bender, Dunkel, and some lesser known. Searing was longest but all were worth the wait. I unfortunately only have the Dunkel and Mike Bender. All were worth the wait but at my age now a 12 year wait I might not be around.
