Hello - I have someone that wants his Jacoby shaft cut close to 11.75 from the 13 it is now. Does anyone know how thick the ferrule walls are on a normal Jacoby. This one is a couple years old but is brand new (never been used). Thanks! Larry

Yep If you have your own cue, then you must want it to perform like you like it. 90% of the performance of your cue is the shaft. 90% of the shaft is your tip/ferrule. Take the price of the tip and divide by 200 or 300 hours (or more) and see what the cost is per hour for that tip. Seems to...

reaction I agree, the chemicals could be causing the reaction. I have never had a problem with those good layered tips. Just use a real sharp utility blade along with some of PaPa's 409 (spit ;-) for burnishing. Then I usually hold a piece of leather against it til it shines right up! Larry
