Jacoby ferrules

Hello - I have someone that wants his Jacoby shaft cut close to 11.75 from the 13 it is now. Does anyone know how thick the ferrule walls are on a normal Jacoby. This one is a couple years old but is brand new (never been used).

To be safe /sure about it, I would just cut the tip off and look, and just re-tip it.

Actually, I did - but it was a capped ferrule.
No harm... We will just take it as it goes ;-)

sometimes hold it upto a light you can make out the tennon area. not on all ferrulee's but some.
