    Columbia, SC

Thanks. I had heard about that, and definitely plan on going there next time I'm in town. I go to Columbia a few times a year. The problem is I go there tomorrow, for the rest of the week, and Grady's room isn't open yet, is it?

    Where to play in DC?

Thanks for the replies. I ended up playing (twice) at Bedrock, which turned out to be only about three blocks from my hotel (Washington Hilton). Nice tables and friendly crowd. Thanks again for your input. Next time I'm there I'll check out the other spots.

    Home Billiard Rooms

All of these pics are great, but I've got to say that I LOVE Hambone's. That's a diamond table and light, right? I really like my Olhausen Remington, but if I were to do it all over again I would have gone with your setup.

    Schmelke sneaky petes

I've got a cocobolo schmelke sp, 19.5 oz with 13mm. It is my wife's main playing cue for our home table, but I play with it from time to time. We both really like it. I hate to ask a sacreligious question, but is there that much difference between the hit of one of these and the hit of a...

Great looking and hitting custom cues FS

Bill- why don't you jump on the chance for some good free hype and post some pics in this thread of your recent work and some prices? Just in case people are too lazy to jump over to the gallery section.

    Where to play in DC?

I'm going to be in Washington, DC for a conference next week. Where should I play? I'm not looking for action (I'd just be throwing my money away), but just want a place with some nice tables. I won't have a car, so I'd like some place in the District, not the 'burbs. Thanks in advance for...

    Besides AZ Billiards

In addition to this site I really like easypooltutor. People are very friendly and helpful. The only downside is it gets a tiny fractions of the hits/postings that this site gets.

    Best and worst pool cities

This is an interesting thread. I've always wondered about the related question which is not where there is the most big money action (because I'm just an average recreational player who loves pool) but about where in the country pool is most popular and where it is less so. That is, I wonder...

    Has Gambling Hurt Pools Popularity?

It's an interesting question, and I don't think I have the answer. It's the type of thing that I have been thinking about recently, though. I just got a table in December for my basement, and am constantly looking for people to play with. It has really surprised me how many people DON'T...

    Any Players From Southern Indiana?

Where do you Lafayette area guys play? I live in NW Indiana, but unfortunately have to come down to Purdue every couple of weeks to bring my aging Great Dane to the Purdue Vet School Animal Hospital. I usually have a couple hours to kill when I'm in town. If I'm not looking for action, but...

help me grab the right balls

I hate to state the obvious, but shouldn't some of it ride on whether you like the looks of the centennials better? A set of super aramith pro's came with my olhausen table. I tried to talk the guy in to keeping them and giving me centennials instead and I'd pay the difference, but he didn't...
