Olhausen Rails - No Staple Groove (Dado Groove)...?

If you don't want the loose loops showing under the rails when they bolted down, which is what happens when the cloth gets compressed buy the rails being bolted down, then place your staples 3/4" back from the bottom bevel of the rails, and keep them that far back.

Makita 1 1/8th model belt sander

Grainger sells them, and they have an arrow on the inside of the belts to show the direction of rotation so they don't come apart when being used.

How do these diamond tables play so badly? vid

He don't know what he's talking about because it's 63 1/2% + or - 1% and that formula only applies to 1 model of cushions and 1 exact subrail thickness! You can throw that formula out the door when it comes to most of the tables built today!!

How do these diamond tables play so badly? vid

No, I'm saying that if you truly knew how to level slates with the Diamond leveling system, you'd never have to back a wedge down. How many have you leveled? I personally have leveled 1,000's of them, and have yet to have to back a wedge down, unless I'm following someone else's attempt to level...

How do these diamond tables play so badly? vid

Personally, I prefer the leather pockets on the Diamonds vs the plastic on the aforementioned tables, and I do like that they're not really flush with the finish of the rails because that prevents the shaft of your cue from rubbing on the rail finish. The leveling system isn't flawed, the...

New to me Gold Crown II

It could, but I'd check the frame for flatness before I put any slate screws in, or even put the slate on the frame of the table, because the frame will crown or swayback the slate, even if it's flat to begin with.

    About those Chinese 8-ball tables

Almost every pool hall that had a Chinese 8 ball table in the US has pretty much dumped the tables. There was a room owner on the for sale section a while ball selling 3 for $500 each, then asking if they could be converted to normal pocket tables. Chinese 8 ball will never fly in the US I...

Gold Crown 1 non-adjustable feet converted to adjustable

My advice is free, the parts are about $20, but no call, ok, no problem😉

Gold Crown 1 non-adjustable feet converted to adjustable

You need more than hardware to convert non-adjustable to adjustable! First problem is the adjustable feet are recessed deeper into the MAPLE corner block, which requires drilling foot hole deeper with a flat bore bit, like a forstner bit, THEN counter sunk again with another forstner bit to...

I'll pass, I've delivered quite a few Diamonds to the MD area, to far below my standards, why don't you hop on a greyhound bus if you can afford the ticket and come on out to Spokane, WA instead!

How do these diamond tables play so badly? vid

With the junk tables I see in that pool room, it's no wonder you don't have Diamonds, it's clear you can't afford them, let alone be worried about being open from one month to the next!
