    Slow play

Ditto. However, I have watched Brandon a few times locally and he was not a slow player. Of course that was back then. But now I have to come down on him for slow play.

    Slow play

I watched Hadal (spelling?) and Schmidt play. Absolutely fast, furious, and beautiful. Hadal can really play. This is the way pool should be played. As in major league baseball, the players SHOULD BE FINED if they take too long. Then this nonsense would stop!

    Slow play

Tape the show so you can get your jollies. I do the same thing, but I still don't like slow play.

    Slow play

 Just watched Brandon Shuff and Ralph Souquet play at Valley Forge. Is is just a sin how slow they play. Two games took about 30 minutes. And SVB is just as bad. I realize they are playing for $25Gs, but my God, they must be taking stupid pills. Talking about over thinking - its a...

    13mm or smaller?

For maximum draw you don't hit the most bottom of the cueball. There should be a slight downward motion on the tip as it passes through the cue ball. " Low and level is for idiots" is what Mike Sigel told me when he was teaching me draw.

    13mm or smaller?

Geometric precision - I like that term!

    PSR and Alignment

As taught to me in Predator Pool School (Immonen, C. Williams, Tony Robles), I see the path from the cueball to the ghost ball, step forward into the shot while laying my cue along this path. Just to add that I imagine where on the cueball I will be hitting and I try and make my tip go there as...

    13mm or smaller?

I thought the same thing when he was talking to me LOL. I actually had a Z2 shaft and I COULD NOT STAND THE HARD TIP. Miscued so many times I never used the shaft again. But, on my 11.2 mm shaft I have a Kamui black Super Soft tip and it shoots awesome. Something else to consider. I have a...

    williard cue tipper

You have no picture of what this is - I don't think you have the correct description anyway. Plus, you have no price.

    13mm or smaller?

Good question! I was going to ask the same question after I just went to my 11.2 mm shaft and my games drastically improved. Some of this depends on what game you are playing. Thicker shafts are better for straight pool and thinner shafts are better for 9 ball, where you need lots of action...

    I need advice on aiming

With a good preshot routine, when you get down on the shot you should be locked in - especially when you are in deadstroke (no adjustments are necessary - just fire the son of a b**** in the hole - simple as pie). In general, I agree with Fred. Even the pros make adjustments, especially Mike...

    Sometimes Why Bother

What I like to tell people who raise up on the shot all the time and who will never learn is to: Get naked. Shoot pool with you wife or girlfriend watching. If you move your head then they get to wack you with a stiff belt. When they look at me with ??????, I tell them that it will help...

Breaking with a Predator P2 (using butt different shaft)

You should buy a Predator BK2 and a Predator 314-2 shaft, or maybe call Predator to see if you can buy a BK2 butt. I shoot with another cue but should this cue become temporarily unuseable, I pool out my 314-2 shaft and put it on my BK2 butt. It is lighter than my Sneaky Pete Predator (21 oz)...

Should Your Dominant Eye Be Your Close Up Eye?

I have had cataract surgery and see 20/20 with both eyes. I am right eye dominant. To read my laptop screen, I need the 175 correction, and for close reading I need the 225 correction. Having said this, I personally don't care if the cue ball is blurry or not. In most scenarios it is blurry...

    Williard tipping machine

I just bought one and it is great. Be sure you get the extra parts to do 11mm shafts. It costs a lot of money, but I think it is worth it. You may want to ask if you can buy an instructional DVD before you purchase so you can see how it works - but I don't know if they will do this.

You say APA is for bangers?

All the posters so far do NOT realize how the APA works. In the long run sandbaggers will get bumped up, one way or another. Over the many years I have played I see teams adjusting to the 23 rule by breaking up all the time. Why? Because players do improve. And IMO, this is the way it...
