Any Problems If Using Snooker Fundamentals To Play Pool??

You never know John Higgin's might think about going down the pool route now.

    Trick shots kids can do

Put two balls clustered together in the middle of the table. Drop the cue between the balls and make one in each middle pocket. Lame but easy enough for anyone to do.

Any Problems If Using Snooker Fundamentals To Play Pool??

Cue action is cue action. There is not a 'pool way' or a 'snooker way'. There is only correct and incorrect. Not all shots are shot the same way as your stock technique.

    Cte/pro one vide0

The problem with using a test is that Joey will be getting used to the system and executing it will initially be uncomfortable at first which will likely cause misses. It would be a more fair test if you have a reasonable amount of time to digest and feel completely comfortable with it. I am...

Snooker World No. 1 John Higgins in betting scandal

It depends. If the paper manipulated the true facts and its found to be the case, I can expect a multi-million lawsuit against the news of the world. I wouldn't put it past that paper because they have pulled such **** in the past. In 'the guardian' it was said I certainly think that if...

Snooker World No. 1 John Higgins in betting scandal

Yes. The tabloids here in Britain are vicious. I feel very disappointed in Higgins. Always liked watching him play when he is on form. On the other hand, he at least didn't cheat on his wife. It has certainly been a year of idols falling from their pedestal. It's a mad world...

    CTE experiment, with civil discussion

I don't think so personally. Like I said, there is a level of intelligence in this alignment. The person that could create this alignment would have to have thought about aiming geometry reasonably deeply. It's perfectly logical that someone that looks into aiming at a deep level over a few...

    CTE experiment, with civil discussion

That is the dual alignment I referred to. The problem is that even with the dual alignment (and it is a curious alignment as it definitely has an intelligence behind it), the way I understand it is still static in nature. I'm trying to find the variable which makes the system click.

    CTE experiment, with civil discussion

I've been studying this alignment in depth and its very curious. If you draw a circle with the CB as the center of that circle and the OB as the edge of the circle. You would notice that if you align center of the cue ball to edge of the OB that the intersection would be on the arc. Now if...

    CTE experiment, with civil discussion

Can't tell you how many diagrams I've drawn on paper and then scrunched up trying to get this but with no luck. I would put in the time to draw top notch computer diagrams if I had something to diagram. I even bought a compass so I could draw nice circles. I feel the same frustration when...

Are you better or worse than what others think of you?

People want people to be worse than their actual ability. They also tend to judge you on your most recent performance except when your performance has just been excellent. Recently I played excellent one day and then terrible the next. The people I play with hardly said a word about my good...

The most common mistake U see low SL's make?

I'll write this more for the okay player rather than the totally rotten player. Technique problems. Not settling on their shot, not taking enough time to aim and rushing the delivery of the cue, and not staying down and following through to the finish. Failure to completely work out the...

    CTE experiment, with civil discussion

Excellent post! So the difference between the pictures is that the pocket rotates around the OB and as the OB location is different, the amount that the pocket displaces in relation its orbit around the rotation is also different? So there is two distances at work here. The first distance is...

ran into my old enemy againg tonight, it got ugly.

I completely disagree. With practice, you can discipline yourself to totally stop mental chattering altogether. Mental chattering is just another distraction you don't need when playing pool.

    Player Management Advice......

It takes players a long time to become good at understanding the shot to play. I pretty much always make my shots as simple as the game can be played (9-ball). Its him at the table, and you can't tell him what shot to play. What's high percentage to me might be low percentage to you and vice...

    So tell me something guys..

Earl Strickland is an excellent player. Fun to watch and always exciting. I hate when players (such as Daryl Peach) deliberately try to gain an edge by deliberately winding him up because they know that they aren't as talented. Daryl Peach is an ****ole. Earl Strickland is the best 9-ball...

    Aiming systems

The reason I don't like Ghost Ball isn't due to my 3D spacial perception being inferior to yours. I think you are looking for ways that makes you special. I've used this system for years and over that time I have altered/refined my implementation of it. Its still an abstract aiming system...

    CTE aiming.

When I am off work after tonight (I work night shift), I will review all the information and put it into one document for reading. I just feel like I am so close to working this out.

    What's a good book/DVD for English?

Vertical axis is simpler but not the entire palette. There's many shots that you just NEED to use side spin, the key is to know when and how.
