For some odd reason, in the past 50 yrs or so, dreamers have not made it in pool. Everything thrown out there has failed. Many of us know that, and that is the reason why we notice immediately if the proposal is all bull-crap or feasible.

If you seek WPA sanctioning, you have a certain compromise with their suggestions/recommendations. The US Open is an event attended by many players from all over the World; therefore points obtained from the Open, would help the WPA with ranking players for their own WPA Events/Championships...

Apparently, the US Open will be sanctioned by the World Pool-Billiards Association (WPA); therefore, I'm guessing that any seeding will be done according to WPA points list.
