SVB to Kick Off High Run Attempts

OK, here's two photos showing a bit of distortion.

OK, for the second time in a week I'm going to stick up for cowboy. He's right about China making, "great, good, not so good, bad and junk" This all distressed me because I'm really pissed at China over (NPR). So much so that instead of buying a Predator shaft that I wanted I bought a new Mezz...

SVB to Kick Off High Run Attempts

I don't have a dog in this fight but many years ago I attended a photography school studying commercial photography. So I know very well about perspective and distortion with lenses. I went down to my basement and measured the pockets of my GC4. Each corner was 5" at the opening and 4.1/4 at...

    What happened to❓ genomachino

I'll admit that I find many of the cowboys posts hard to read, but at times he brings up a valid point. This is one of them. I did buy Geno's DVD and found it pretty near worthless. The production quality seemed to be a junior high school project. The sound volume jumped around so you had to...

Speaking of being missed, I miss the BAT system and all the helpful advice from Abby. It really was better than the CTE snipping. What ever did you do?

I always thought that the cowboy wrote with chubby thumbs on a phone. At least I know when I lose my stylus my messages tend to be, garbled. Perhaps he's eating magic mushrooms. There's got to be a reasonable explanation.

Sheldon Lebow 3 piece traveling cue

Wanted a Sheldon Lebow 3 piece traveler cue. Something simple, near a sneaky Pete design.

    Remembering Scott Lee

Maybe twelve years ago I took a half day lesson from an instructor who lived a few hours south of me in Virginia. I foolishly signed up for a three day course. It was a bust. Reading the glowing recommendations on AZB I contacted Scott for a full day at my house. In the first four hours I...

    RIP Scott Lee

I commented over on the instructor thread. Now I'm sitting in the basement looking at my table and knowing he will never be here again. Whether for a lesson or just a place to stay while passing through. He was always a welcome guest, a great teacher, a friend. Like so many others I'll play...

    R.I.P. SCOTT LEE

No one put more energy into a lesson than Scott. I am so sorry to read this. " An accurate and repeatable stroke" RIP Scott

Custom Sneaky Pete plans, am I missing anything?

I've had the same thoughts myself. I have a few other almost sneakies. A wonderful Bob Frey with a black collar and white ring. And another Frey, "true sneaky" that a light tan collar would have me move it from my cabinet into a case for the car.

Custom Sneaky Pete plans, am I missing anything?

I have a three sneakies with wood to wood collar less cues including a Mcdermott M11B with the brass insert. Never a problem. Of the other two, one is a Muller hustler model whose grain is matched perfectly. It's really sneaky. Like middleofnowhere it takes a close look to tell. Ilike them. I...

Has the Open Bridge Become More Popular

Another old man here trying to relearn the game. I'm open 98 percent of the time and thats because arthritis has ruined my wrists and thumbs. It was closed 98 percent on the time 50 years ago. Adapt and overcome.

Stolen cues 15 minutes north of Kansas City

Under the circumstances mma shouldn't have to press charges. The investigation was done, evidence found, (plate number, goods etc.) The local prosecutor acts for the state in this. But this theft sounds targeted for valuable cues. I would think that the thief had knowledge of both the cues and...

    Plain Simple Uni-Loc Sneaky Pete

You might want to try Mueller's. Look for the 20-720 Hustler professional bar cue. $140. It comes with a 3/8 pin which many say is better than a Uni lock. But I bet you could have one made with your choice of pin. It has a very smooth satin/flat finish. I rub the grip area with wax paper. Very...

Finally pulled the trigger on professional instruction

Look on the bright side of all that work. You will have enough money to visit Bob or Randyg for an up close and in person instruction.

Stolen cues alert! Lafayette LA last Monday night.

Scott, I'm just back from a tour and so very sad to read this. To think of the devastating loss to your business in the last year and a half from Covid, and now this. Yes you are a professional. No one who has ever met you has any doubt of that. Stay strong with your positive attitude. The...

    Mezz USA and shipping

Don't over worry it. My EC 7 was sealed in a heavy plastic bag. Pretty waterproof. Plus heavy guage box. You will be very pleased with the cue. The Mezz cues are far superior to most "custom" cues. You have to go very high end to top even their standard merry widow or sneakys.
