Is Hennessey considered top ( ) gambling?

I met a guy at a big tournament recently who told me Justin is planning to get back in the mix soon. I hope it's true.

    Waste of money pool items

When the young guys used to ask me what advice I had for them to improve, I always told them to quit immediately and sell their pool stuff. It's a fun game but to put the hours into it some of us did has proven to be a waste of thousands of hours that could have been spent on more worthy causes...

Is Hennessey considered top ( ) gambling?

He still makes cues AFAIK. I watched a guy order one from him maybe 8-9 months ago. He also plays over 600 speed at about 82 yrs old as well, on top of everything he does. Makes me tired just looking at him.

Is Hennessey considered top ( ) gambling?

Local room owner is one of Henney's backers. Pretty sure he was in with the last match against Patsura. I'm sure he has his own $ too though.

    Never forget Mike Lebron

I thought everyone knew of this. I remember watching a recording of that match and thinking, "I can't believe Buddy played that poorly." It was not until after that I learned about the fix. Shameful. A bunch of guys set men's professional pool back decades for a quick payday. IIRC, Earl...

    Oscar barking at Karl Boyes

Did these two ever play? They are both hitting balls now. I'd like to see it go down.

    Rhino carbon fiber

Well sh!t. I have a Komet break cue from them. So far everything has been fine, but I break at about 20MPH. I will start checking on mine under magnification to spot cracks forming. I have some tomahawk I can use for a new ferrule but that can break too, just not as easily it appears. I have a...

Best straightforward (ie non-25 minute youtube video) advice/training on stroke

I used to use a mirror sitting on a stand to watch my alignment from my hand to my shoulder. It's hard to beat the Mighty X for grooving a straight stroke. For mechanics, I'd still go with a mirror or camera behind you and opposite of you down the shot line looking back.

Diamonds clearly bank shorter than most other if not all tables…so, why?

Was this in response to my post?

Diamonds clearly bank shorter than most other if not all tables…so, why?

I bought a new 9' ProAm about a year and a half ago. It banks as true as both GCs I've owned in the past. I make NO adjustment for banks. As far as I am concerned, the issue has been fixed.

    Refining pre shot routine

Good thread. I'd guess we have all fought through this issue at some point. Among the two or three dozen B and A players I've shot with throughout my pool life, there have been perhaps five who have a defined pause at the end of the take back stroke, including myself. That is to say, it is not...

Stupid idea? Undoubtedly, but I might try it.

Another method is to freeze a ball to the rail and place your cue ball straight out from it, a couple feet away. Shoot the CB at the center of the OB so it double kisses and returns to your cue. Move the CB back another 6" and repeat until you can do it x times in a row. Move it back 6"and...

    Taom Chalk

I'm not colorblind but also struggle in some lighting conditions, to tell if my tip is coated well with V10. I'm a convert. The 2 pieces I have are still going strong after 13 months and only one piece is getting short.

Have I come across the ultimate nit?

I've done this before but did a CYA and declared I was switching shafts prior to taking the new one out of the case or unscrewing my player.

    What a tool!!!

Very wise, sir. Glad you are giving your kids the best chance at success. Savannah is more socialized than most on this forum. Perhaps she could spend more time with other kids but you can bet her education is better than if she was attending public schools.

On a big table, yes. On a bar box, no.

    Improved ball marker

I heard the children in Thailand work for cheaper wages than the children in China. However, they may not get the government subsidies Chinese companies get. China can usually sell at the price domestic manufacturers spend on the material alone. Small US companies cannot compete unless there are...

    Improved ball marker

Pretty sure I designed one in CAD a while ago. I'll have to dig it up. I'm taking delivery of a cnc mill today in fact. The only product I planned to make for pool was a rack but I guess I could expand the line if I get bored.
