    Original Palmer Value

Yep, points indicate that as well. Probably still started at about $70 or so.

    Original Palmer Value

Looks like a Model D, Second catalog, however different shaft collar rings. From the factory in 1973, the Mode D was $70.00. More now, though depending on condition, straightness, etc.

    How is this a Joss?

So, which one you want to be buried with? I get the other one.

    How is this a Joss?

I thought I saw it somewhere in your collection of devices.

    How is this a Joss?

Yep, that middle on for me too. I'm not that much a fan of floating points, and the middle one is perfect.

    How is this a Joss?

Oh you know something? I was thinking of the Joss Diamond Series cue with that pattern, at least in the buttsleeve.

    How is this a Joss?

Not much I can add to that, except there were some Varner cues definitely made by Joss, for some time. The second one sure has the pattern of one of yours. There definitely was collaboration amongst Joss, Rempe, Sigel, and Varner.

    How is this a Joss?

That's my understanding too. There are Asian imports for about everything cue-related. In fact, from Guangzhou China, you can get designer handbags, wallets, shoes, every luxury watch brand, even used looking silver dollars. All fake. In the case of cues, some of them don't hide themselves...

    How is this a Joss?

Yep, that looks like a match for the Tyler V-12. Also, the references do show that Sigel's signature ended up on some Joss cues.

    How is this a Joss?

I appreciate that. I've been at the hobby for about 53 years. It also helps to have a super autobiographical memory when it comes to point length, dimension, bumper, buttplate, wrap, period, etc. Maybe it's a disease... I do have the earliest known Joss cue to me by its identity...

    How is this a Joss?

I seem to remember those two brands being made by the same outfit as well.

    How is this a Joss?

I appreciate the compliment, but you have plenty of "Chops" when it comes to Joss cues as well. No pun intended.

    How is this a Joss?

Some better pictures would be useful, such as the tip of the points, the joint collars, the joint pin, and the bumper. However, there are some cues that Joss built that did not say Joss on them. In the early 80s, Jim Rempe played with a butterfly point cue that was taken as an Adam cue, but it...

Anyone clean their tips on the carpet before putting it back in the case?

Neither alcohol nor damp napkin. Alcohol dries your tip, you don't want that. Just use a paper towel to wipe the chalk off the tip, while burnishing the side of it, and the ferrule, as well.

    What Color Is This Cloth?

Very standard Simonis green. Don't remember if they were calling it Tournament Green then.

    Best Players In Baltimore

Jenny, do you remember Geese winning the Maryland straight pool tournament, held in Bill & Billies, their second location, that industrial section of Glen Burnie, something like early 80s? We'd just suffered through the longest match in history, between Mike Adams and Ed Cecanes (RIP), the...

    Gandy Cue Information

Yep, don't use a third party photo app like Photobucket, etc. Take the pictures, and size them so they fit. They'll never get deleted or blurred out.

    Gandy Cue Information

Nice cue. Ebony Titlist cues are pretty rare, as most were other woods. The joint is interesting. It looks like a joint that Gordon Hart did, and in the very early days, Dick Helmstetter did some similar joints.

    Mali cue, need advice

Nice cues, Doc. I thought I had a cue addiction.

    Any good cues here?

    You're a young buck.
