    "St. Louie Louie" Roberts Book

Support books I ordered the book too. I have a woman that played professional pool that I know pretty well. She said the Louie Roberts was the best looking guy ever. I guess I am not the best judge, but based on that Louie could have been a real ladies man. I havent heard much about that. Ken

Evil Pool Cue Movie / TV Show

Ugh this is killing me. Does anyone remember the TV show or movie that was about a possessed pool cue that had to be used to kill someone with and the pool player would become an incredible pool player for a while. Then the pool player had to kill another person to "recharge" the cue to make...

Educate me on 9 ball spots...

Ahead sets favors the strongest player ALWAYS. 9 ball is easy for adjusting spots. My advice is to do a race where you don't lose the spot (7, 8, the breaks). Race to 7 with getting a game or two spot would help too. Races to 7 for a $100 is fine. Not only is he a better player than...

    Black Pool Players Matter

Like most of the folks here, I always enjoyed watching Cliff play at DCC. It seems he was in constant action. I was watching him gamble $50 a game 9 ball and while he was winning, watching him play 9 ball wasnt nearly as interesting as watching him play one pocket. I caught him during a...

Did Mosconi use his Balabushka at the exhibitions

Mosconi cue is just another in the list of great items that I never understood how a family would EVER let something like that get away. My family is not rich, but heirlooms like this would never leave our family. The all mighty dollar..... Ken

Staying away from the side Pockets - what does Buddy mean

If you want to improve, listen to Buddy. IMO, he controls the cueball better than almost any player, and is a big fan of not moving it more than necessary. Ken

Help me to identify the truth, Buddy Hall & Bludworth Cue

. Yep, I have seen Buddy play with a different cue often. Whatever he just got was a "great cue", and shortly after that it would be traded/sold. Buddy has cuemakers sending him cues all the time. Ken
