    Strategy in racking 8 ball?

I fully support playing by the rules. If random racking is what is expected or agreed, then that is what I'll do. I don't play in leagues so I haven't really ran across those requirements. Personally, I don't see anything wrong with making the rack as difficult as possible -that's what I...

    Strategy in racking 8 ball?

Spread can be used to describe two things. One is that the balls are spread out over the table. The other way I have often heard it used is to refer to the layout of the stripes and solids (not how spread they are necesarily, but the pattern itself.) An easy spread or a good spread would...

    Strategy in racking 8 ball?

Strategy for racking 8 ball? I usually just make sure the end balls are opposite. Sometimes I throw em in so that the stripes are on the other side opposite the solids, kind of like a mirror (Not with all the stripes on the same side...but who knows, that might actually be a good way lol.) I...

WTB used Jacoby regular shaft 5/16-14

Looking for a straight one with at least 12.7 mm ferrule. A little taper roll is okay. Not looking for a low-deflection shaft. Thanks

    WTB 5/16-14 Shaft

Looking for something 12.7 or larger. Not really picky on ring work -just looking for something pretty straight with decent shaft wood. I bought a cheap shaft off ebay for 35 bucks but it wasn't very good at all.

    What's the Rule on This?

Hmmm. My first instinct was to ignore you, but I feel like you're being unnecessarily rude. This is not my own table. I play with what is available to me. Why would you suggest that I'm playing with a smaller cue ball to feel good about my draw stroke? I draw the ball just fine. And by the...

    What's the Rule on This?

What Would You Do - The Push Out

If you are playing a good player, I like slow rolling the 8 ball to try and tie up the 3, leaving them jacked up over the 10, focus being on the cue ball solidly in front of the 10.

Roger Pettit needs some help please.

Roger has a very solid reputation as being a very kind, good man for many years. Many people who I respect speak very highly of him.

    Wax on Irish Linen?

I really like my linen wrap a little tacky. Lucasi has what seems like an additional wax coat on their linen...at least their older cues. When I have a really smooth, slippery double pressed linen wrap, I usually take some wax paper and rub it fast over the wrap. This wax application doesn't...
