I have a Raven break shaft. I bought it in 3/8-10, and had the shaft plugged and tapped to fit my Cuetec Break Cue. I had the stock tip replaced with a Pechauer C4. The shaft/cue breaks incredibly well.

In all seriousness, a good many of them have poor stance, set-up, bridge hand, etc. If the foundation is bad, the house usually follows.

I'm using the Pechauer C4 tip on my other break shaft. I like it a lot. Break shaft 1.) Horo Black Storm. Break shaft 2.) Pechauer C4. 👍

The issue that you might face in this instance, depending on the material/s used in the ferrule, is ferrule failure. The ferrules on some of these production shafts are made from materials like xtc, etc, and are already extremely thin walled. You trim them down even further, and you may as well...
