Copper washers are used in sealing hydraulic hose ends too. If you can't find them at the hardware store. Look at heavy equipment repair shops or suppliers.

I make cues to have money to play pool. Sadly I have to work 60 hours a week, on a construction job, to have money to make cues. 60 hours a week leaves me little time to play pool!

I have two tapers on my shaft taper lathe. I start all shaft on my jump break taper. Which isn't far off a cone.
