Yes, you can do it... I did for a while on one cue I owned... but the shortcoming is the tip wears unevenly over time... and must be re-shaped fairly often, thereby significantly reducing tip life. I used the line drawn on the ferrule as an aiming aid.

The main reason is Diamond Lights were designed quite a long time... perhaps 30+ years (?)... and pool table lighting technology has continued to advance. Additionally, I want a more lightweight design that makes it easier to install. I don't have the weight numbers for Diamond's 9-foot light...

I'm strongly considering a lighting upgrade for my home table... a 9-foot Diamond Pro AM... and a friend suggested that I look at Littman Lights. They're pricey... so before I commit, I'm interested in getting opinions about them... favorable and unfavorable... all are welcome. TIA

Mine's in my garage/pool room... so I raised it with leftover pavers from my back patio project... two courses for the base... and then another course but of only small square pavers under each foot. It doesn't move... but it also doesn't have any drawers to store shit. lol

So did I... have a pretty severe astigmatism. Who told you you can't get Lasik with a pretty severe astigmatism? Regardless, get a second opinion.

I'm sorry, but it's not gouging. Gouging only applies to life necessities... like clean water, toilet paper, batteries, and similar items people tend to stock up on when they're about to face a hurricane or some similar natural emergency. Everybody can get by without owning an extra pool cue...

It does, in general. But in the case of vision, there's a benefit when you reach the age that you have cataracts. I had cataract surgery seven years ago at the age of 69. I chose the optional increased depth of field lenses, and my vision is now 20/20... and I can easily read my computer screen...

I would not run a handicapped 9-ball tournament... too much whining about who gets what handicap. My solution is to restrict the winners from playing the following week(s). Let's assume that you pay the top three finishers. If so, restrict the 1st place finisher from playing for 3 weeks... 2...

Let's bump this back up and see if it sells at $1150 with both shafts, or $1000 with the original Frey shaft only. All above posts have been edited with the latest price reduction.
