    SVB Vs Alex Match Tonight?

I like the fact that they are continuing to match up. Hell, they're only 27 and 32 years old. These match-ups could well continue for the next 20 or 30 years. We're pretty lucky. Thanks, you two!! :thumbup2:

    serious pool players.....

Chasing a dream is a bit different than chasing a fantasy. Follow your heart but be prepared to look back on your life and wonder why you made the decision that you did. Most young men of 28 are at a crossroads in their life. I know. I have two sons in that age group (soon to be 27 and 29)...

What was your first pool hall?

Yeah, I started on a Suzuki 80 when I was 16... what a dog! The oil and gas had to be premixed. From there to a '67 Yamaha 305 Big Bear Street Scrambler, then a '72 Yamaha 650 4-stroke and finally graduating to Harleys. Currently have the Superglide in my avatar and a Road King as well. If...

What was your first pool hall?

I'll tell you what... it's pretty friggin' amazing that you find two people who started their pool journey in the exact same pool hall more than 50 years ago. I started in Swank as well. In '64 I was 15. Best guess is I started playing there a year later. And I bought one of those new Viking...

    US Open 10 Ball

Starting with the semi-s, the races are to 9, iirc what Holly posted here in another thread. And if you weren't aware, the start times for the matches are already set apart 2.5 hours. Races to 10 or 11 would add another 0.5 hour or so to each match. The time added would have to result in...

"Bottle Pool" should have been a choice.

    Who "won" a split tournament?

In my mind, when a "split the money" decision is made, the "B" side winner concedes (i.e., forfeits) to the "A" side winner... and the concession the "A" winner makes is to split the combined 1st and 2nd place money with the "B" side winner.

    Whats V-cash good for??

The only thing it's good for is a little entertainment. In the past, the mods would establish the odds for each player to win a big tournament. You could bet your vCash. Basically, it's for bragging rights I guess. I haven't seen any posts lately about vCash betting events.
