    Good spots in seattle WA?

Mav - If you're still in town and want to hit some balls, you're welcome to join me at my house. I'm up in Marysville, which is on I-5 just north of Everett by 6 miles or so. My wife is out of town and I could use somebody to hit balls with. I've got a 9-foot Diamond Pro Am with 860 Simonis...

    Cheap Table Time in Chicago

According to an online inflation rate calculator, $0.30 in 1907 is worth $7.32 now, less than I would have thought. I started playing in a pool hall about 1965 and $0.60/hr is what I recall... that was in the western suburbs of Chicago.

    When you miss a ball

With both eyes open, point your index finger at a distant object. Now close one eye. If your finger is still pointing at the distant object, that is your dominant eye. If instead, your finger is way off to the side of the distant object, then that eye is not your dominant eye.

Difference in "Blue Diamond" and "Red Diamond" pro-am tables

It happened when my cloth was brand new. It happens now that my cloth is 5 years old. I don't believe that it's happening at the pocket facing. I believe that it's happening at the long rail cushion's nose... the cushions are "boingy", if that's even a word. The object ball rebounds at a...

Break Stats -- TAR 34 Day 3 (10-Ball), Van Boening vs. Reyes, April, 2013

AL - Why do you say approximately 4 1/2" corner pockets? Were they not Diamond's standard Pro Cut pockets? If so, they're 4 1/2".

Difference in "Blue Diamond" and "Red Diamond" pro-am tables

JC - I watched the Efren/Shane 10-ball match last night on TAR's PPV and I can tell you with certainty that the 3 degree angle difference on the nose (the TAR table has the modified rails is what I was told) makes a bid difference when playing the corner pockets and with the object ball near...

Great. Thanks for the quick responses. BTW, smoking a great 7 y/o cigar in my garage while hitting balls on my Diamond Pro Am and listening to Eric Clapton and BB King singing Riding with the King. Life is good.
