    Protecting an injured shoulder

Thank you Vic, I appreciate it. I had not actually thought of having an upright stance or a softer/cut break, but that makes sense to me. I will definitely give it a go. As soon as I get back, I am going to take some time off pool. Thanks again, Trevor

    Protecting an injured shoulder

Thank you Rob, I appreciate the kind words and advice. I am taking time off before the Nationals and going to nurse it through. As soon as they are over, I am going to take an extended pool leave to try and get it back in order.

    Protecting an injured shoulder

I have recently developed a muscle strain and mild arthritis in the shoulder of my cueing arm and would love it if anyone has developed a way of protecting such an injury whilst still playing. I started physio therapy last week and am now exercising it daily to try and help speed up the healing...

Pro level players entered in Bca open events

I see two pro level players on the same open team and in open singles who are going to rob the open divisions this year at nationals. It seems weird, because as far as I can tell they are definitely regionally known monsters. Can you spot them?

Acs nationals in Vegas .. Not impressed

Ha thanks Scott. I will take your word for it. I had the weirdest tournament I have ever played in. In the 3 matches I played in 8 and 9 ball (I discount the fourth, as I had lost interest by then), I lost three coin tosses, missed three balls in total and lost three times on the hill. To top...

Acs nationals in Vegas .. Not impressed

I just came back from the ACS tournament and I agree to a degree. I love the Tropicana it is a far superior hotel to the Rio, the time of year and it is well organized, sadly however the equipment was pretty bad. If they switched to Diamond tables, good cloth, quality balls and proper bridges it...

APA Team in Manhattan seeks player

As an aside I believe that the Parkside Lounge was the bar where they filmed the bar scenes from The Black Donnelly's, which was a pretty cool show. The last time I played there the bar table had a bit of a roll on it, allegedly caused by a fight scene from the show. Good luck with your search...

    Earl and the Mosconi

I bet it was fun to watch Ron! Ha ha. Watching me dog the hell out of the match, in between me sitting in my chair sweating, as Earl won rack after rack. To be honest though, I have to say although I played like a complete chimp it was an honour to play him and next time I wont be so nervous...

    Earl and the Mosconi

It was at Amsterdam Billiards in the 9 ball league. I would assume that he is in town this week and most of the time he is at Steinway. The team he plays on is scheduled to have a league match on Thursday night at Amsterdam Billiards, so he may well be there for that. Enjoy your time in New York.

    Earl and the Mosconi

Having been whooped 10-1 by Earl last night, I can certainly attest to the fact he still plays at a very high standard. He played a couple of wtf the shots that very people have the stroke or imagination to play. He seems pretty excited about playing in the Mosconi as well.

Single elimination sounds good to me. It should just be a fun tournament where you get to put some faces to names.

    Bcapl online brackets

Cheers Ron Thanks Ron. I have just seen that my first opponent was a Grand Master last year and beat Allen Hopkins a couple of years ago in the US Open 10 Ball. I am really going to need to be on form! I think I had better get some 8 ball bar box practice in, quick smart.

So where is the Bonus Ball annoucement?

I guess my experiences in start up businesses differ from yours (I have no experience whatsoever in any business associated with pool). The businesses I have been a part of that have not hit their initial goals have had to revise their business plan and re-evaluate their projections (some of...

So where is the Bonus Ball annoucement?

Nothing to gain You cannot blame Nathan or Lee for not stating whether they have been paid or not, because what could they possibly gain by divulging this information. If they have been paid, they might not be certain that all the players payments are up to date, so they could end up annoying...

So where is the Bonus Ball annoucement?

Anyway Anyway, when will this announcement happen? I am extremely curious to see what the announcement is. I really hope it is good news. It would be good for some talented people to start to earn a regular income out of the game.

AZB Pool Tournament at BCAPL in Vegas!

Vegas Indoor Map App For those of you with an iPhone, I found a great free app that I used the last time I was in Vegas. It is very basic, but basically it is an app that gives you all of the indoor maps for the casino's in Vegas. On iTunes it is: -...
