So where is the Bonus Ball annoucement?

The investors in Bonus Ball have invested far too much money and time to throw in the towel, so I would expect the payment issues to be resolved shortly.

I simply do not understand how people say this.

If you invest two million with operating expenses of $50,000 a week and after six weeks have generated what has to be close to zero income AT ALL. Any investor on earth is going to say "WTF?" and pull the pin as fast as humanly possible. Its one thing to pitch the dream in a meeting with sexy projections of numerous revenue streams but when the rubber meets the road and real dollars get counted there is no more room salesmanship bullshit. It is what it is for all to see.

Imagine a restaurant that costs two million to build out. It costs $50,000 a week operate it. For six weeks they give away all the booze and only charge for food 50% of the time. At the end of that six weeks they owe their staff lots of money with no real plan in sight to ever get back even. Let alone become profitable.

What would you do?

Go borrow the six figures you are behind to staff and then borrow 50K a week to keep doing the same thing all because you already invested so much into it?

Hell no. You hang a "Pardon our dust as we remodel" sign on the door, sell off as much shit as possible to pay the people who will screw you hardest if they dont get theirs and quietly go on your way.

Is that whats going to happen here?

How would I know? I was just the asshole hater saying someone needs to see the damn money. Anything I say would just be because I want BB to fail.

Not because I have an ounce of common sense.

I feel bad for the players but I hope some people involved in this cluster never work in the industry again. At the very least I hope people never listen to their arrogant bullshit again.

I'm going to make a prediction here.

It might not happen right now, but I am predicting a sale of bonus ball and the new owners of it will succeed.

Man I hope you are trolling.

If so nice hand.

If not I have some amazing investment opportunities for you my friend.

What you do? Cue up the official BB theme music. TICK, TICK, TICK, BOOM! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TqkJ30Kh7ZM

I love this song. Now I'm a hater.

I do not understand why the moderators allow you to continue with your childish behaviour. You need to move on.

BLAME CANADA! LMAO - I hope you know how ridiculous you make yourself look.

Blame South Park for starting to turn Americans against Canada.... But Bonus Ball, Larry, Nathan and Dave have shown us the light.

Don't worry, I'll still be back to fish....

I guess my experiences in start up businesses differ from yours (I have no experience whatsoever in any business associated with pool). The businesses I have been a part of that have not hit their initial goals have had to revise their business plan and re-evaluate their projections (some of which have paid off handsomely for the investors).

In this case if the projections are as wildly off as have been stated, it then comes down to whether the plan can be sufficiently amended to retain the belief and bank roll of the investors.

Like I say this is just my experience from working at start up companies. The companies I worked at have all been online advertising companies, which is obviously a very different industry.

I still don't know what a "Canadian roughneck" is. Is that Canada's version of our "American redneck"? :smile2:

Well then...you leave me no choice...we want William Shatner, Pamela Anderson, Michael J. Fox, Angelina Jolie, SCTV reruns and, of course, the Stanley Cup back (I will leave it to you to explain what you have done to the Chicago Blackhawks). You may keep Jim Carrey.

Jolie is like me...of French-Canadian and Metis descent...but definitely not Canadian.

You can also take back Beiber and Drake. You can try to take back Rush, Neil Young, and all but one member of the Band, but we refuse to give them up.

You obviously have NO business sense at all.

If it was any other business, there goal would be to crush the competition. You fail to realize, at the end of the day all of these are doing it to make money.

You think Mark or Greg will ever ask anyone to borrow a 20? Highly ****ing unlikely. They got where they are by MAKING money...... Not giving it away when they have a chance to profit. Now maybe they're at a point in their life where they make less and give back more......

So what you're saying is that JAM and team Bonus Ball on the same level?

Pennies on the dollar my friend. The right buyers, with the right connections, and voila!

Being a part of the gambling industry is the key to success here imo.

Gambling on pool is a tough sell. They've tried it with overseas gambling sites, but betting on pocket billiards didn't catch on very well, sad to say. :sorry:

Outside of AzBilliards, how many people do you think have heard of Earl Strickland? Although I will say Earl is making the rounds on the global pool scene as of late. I'm beginning to think he has an agent.

I think I remember reading somewhere that Alex Pagulayan bet with an online gambling site on himself to win the WPC, and he did, indeed. :)

Pool is no different than any other sport.

You know how easy it is to fix a fight?

I know all of the stories about the challenge of champions and what it did to pool but I am just going out on a limb here and stating my opinion. We will see if I am correct.

P.S. I understand that your post was not a remark about fixing but I was more directing my comment to the board.

They had a British betting site. I can't remember the name, Stanely-something. They had online betting for pool matches at a previous WPC, and it sank like a lead ball. No interest. :embarrassed2:

I just feel like the right people with the right connections in Vegas can make things happen.

Only about 10% of those who watch FREE stream will actually buy a PPV.

AND this number is based on those who love the game.

BB is betting on a completely new audience who could care less about pool !?

Do the math.

Better off doin a candy crush league.

Boat no float.

I'm not fluent in reading or speaking Canadian but I'm assuming that "Canadian roughneck" translates to the same as an American roughneck, one that works on an oil drilling crew.... I'll bet high that our roughnecks are rougher than theirs.
