    Finally getting a table

@Poolmanis In Finland what do you clean the carom balls with?

Best Pool Player you saw alive, regardless.

I once saw Shane Winters not miss a ball for a good two hours straight.

    I don't agree.

    Playing by official rules.....

Tournament director tried to say I cheated by playing safe and pushing the 8 ball up table into the kitchen. The rules were no safes allow and/or you must make an honest attempt to shoot at your pocket. Playing bar box 8 ball race to 1 I had a ball blocking the 8 ball into the corner so I...

    Superman's downfalls ?

I'm undecided on Robertos Sharking. If he does it, most of it seems to be unconscious. I.e. laughing at your own pain. Roberto has always been nice as hell to me and I've seen him be a patient coach with guys who got no chance of getting better. Once Roberto beat me out of some cash and...

    Playing by official rules.....

Ask your opponent to play by either APA or BCA rules. Places that don't want to go by those rules usually is not a place you would want to play anyways. I once won a tournament in a bar (under bar rules, which varies depending on bar) i got first place and it paid out around $360. but it was a...

Curious as to why no one plays with/without an extension dependent on the shot.

I use my extension playin 9ball on the 9' I take my extension off playing on the 7' I don't use my extension playing one pocket on the 9' (unless it comes up that i need it). it's a shot specific situation. but it doesn't vary as much as one may think. and that's why we adjust our playing...

    Americas Heyball Championship, July 2024

Yeah and even when the pockets are the normal size. Using pool balls is so damn tough. 3 biggest differences any pool player would notice is, Super fast table. like carom table fast. have to slow roll so many balls in or they'll rattle out. Can't shoot a ball down the rail. probably less...

    Americas Heyball Championship, July 2024

There are a few in the northeast and one here in Texas that I have played on. To my knowledge, Chinese 8 ball is played on 9' tables. it might be easier & cheaper to find a 10' snooker table and just play on that.

Pro players still using wood shafts

Seems like almost all snooker players today still play with wooden shafts. I find that quite interesting being that ball pocketing is considered superior to pool.

    Club table vs Match table?

Whats the difference between a club table and a match table? At 16:26 commentator says, "That's the difference between a club table vs a match table?" I can make some assumptions but don't understand the British or European lingo.

    It’s not the league

One of the cheapest and fastest ways to get better is to take lessons from a good teacher and take notes. I mean literally takes notes and read over them time and time again. Many players that are capable of grasping an idea, don't really understand how far or often that idea goes. Also it...

Play the table not the player

Both are right depending on the situation at that moment.

    Dirty Valley

Dirty valley bar box 8 ball is one of my favorite games. The balls act so much different that it just becomes a fun experience for me. Many things you can do that you couldn't do under normal/average conditions.

    straight rail

I would imagine the Korean version you are playing with 4 balls is a little harder to learn at first, than the French version. Many basics with a high learning curve in french billiards while to my knowledge the Korean version has a similar yet different scoring system. Someone correct my if...
