ya. Ive always just.....played the game. ive been playing for 18 years on leagues etc and do very well. I have never gotten into examining the stance, stroke etc. I just did what i was comfortable doing. I was horrified when i finally took a video of me playing.
How many of you have the cue gently pressing against your side/chest area while stroking? (My right nipple area to be specific) I recently video'd myself shooting, and saw that I have a wobbly stroke. Oddly enough, i played pretty good with it, can stroke deep into a water bottle without...
well i just got a new cue from them and i hope i can at least order an extra extension and adapter for it before they are all said and done. Just a few days ago they posted on fb pictures of extensions they were almost done making.
They just made me a custom cue a few months ago. The customer service (amy jones specifically) was top notch. The cue came out beautiful. A local cuemaker who changed my tip said my cue is very well built. Maybe I got one of the last custom OB's. I hope they dont close.
i had a lesson today with an instructor and the reason the cue touches my side is my stroke arm is cocked inwards a bit. This is why I didnt like the video of me playing. It results in a wobbly looking stroke. Oddly enough, i have been doing this forever, and have won tournaments and am a 7.3 on...
i would like to, but have no idea on how to be anonymous. Someone suggested earlier to wear a mask, but i hate masks, and id be stared at relentlessly if i wore one in a bar.
I had a lesson with a decent player and he focused on my stance being my major issue. He said i should keep my right leg straight (right handed). Honestly i have never studied my stance or what a pool stance should be. I have always just done what is comfortable. I have been doing research and...
my pechauer rogue is the same way. The cf's can and do get sticky. Pechauer recommends cleaning with a microfiber and pledge furniture spray. That really slickens up the shaft.
if you care deeply for your cue, i wouldnt consider checking it in. I bought a brand new rolling luggage bag for my last trip, and by the time i picked it up at baggage claim, the wheels were smashed, and it looked like they played football with it.
gotcha. They quoted mine 8 to 12 weeks as well, but i received it in about 6. Unfortunately, if you are looking for very specific details in a cue, custom may be the only option. Good luck.
yup. Another rough way to explain where i hit a draw shot is to set
the tip on the cloth infront of the cueball, then bring it up one tip. That is roughly where i hit. Of course i dont actually do that. I just eye ball it.
As low as I can while making sure the full tip is still hitting the cueball. The type of cueball and cloth makes a massive difference in achieving draw. For example If you can get a little draw on a heavy bar cueball with dirty cloth, you can probably draw near table length with a normal ball on...
