    Spraying Gold Crown Skirts

I used Sherwin Williams Bonding Primer Aerosol and top coated with Sherwin Williams Emerald Urethane Trim Enamel. No issues 6 years later. I cleaned them with soap and water, allowed them to dry then scuffed them up lightly with the abrasive side of a kitchen sponge. I ran a tack cloth over...

Best to post this in the Billiard Balls Collectors thread in the Main Forum.

Mark Wilson on sidespin to pocket balls

It’s possible, but I don’t consider follow or draw “english”, but I can’t speak for Dennis.

Mark Wilson on sidespin to pocket balls

I took a lesson some years ago from Dennis Orcullo. I asked him what percentage of his shots he applies english to the cue ball. He looked at me like I was from another planet before answering, "All of them".

Time for new pool balls - Aramith Tournament Pro-Cup or Brunswick Centennial

I’m fairly certain Saluc only uses the Duranith resin on Aramith branded balls. I think they use the Super Aramith Pro Resin on the Centrnnials and Predator Arcos.

Perhaps @realkingcobra can chime in on the subrail calibrations process.

Gold Crown 1 rehab. Lots of questions...

Welcome! The 1963 date is simply when the pocket castings were cast. There's really no way of knowing exactly what year the table was "made". These were kitted together when sold and not assembled as a unit like a car. The legs, stretcher, ball storage tray and ball return box (if so...

    Beginning Gold Crown Restoration

That sucks about the Formica. Luckily, my rails were in decent shape. Your ball box looks about like mine. It's going to be very expensive to restore and replate it. You'll also loose the brushed look where the logo is. Here's mine.

    Beginning Gold Crown Restoration

Welcome! Sounds ike your project is right up my alley. I restored my Gold Crown I about 5-6 years ago: https://forums.azbilliards.com/threads/gold-crown-barn-find.497624/ From what you are describing, it sounds like you've got a Gold Crown I. If it had been a Gold Crown II, under all that...

Time for new pool balls - Aramith Tournament Pro-Cup or Brunswick Centennial

They are the same balls just different font and inlays. Have you considered Dynaspheres? IMO, they are just as good, if not better than the offerings from Aramith and they make a set with traditional colors..

Gold crown 1 ball return box install questions

The face of my aprons are 12.7°. The face of the ball storage tray and ball return box are 9.0°. I cannot effectively measure the block spacers for the ball storage tray as there is limited access. Based on the pics provided, yours appear to be in line with mine.

Gold crown 1 ball return box install questions

How far does the ball return box stick out in the front? Just checked, the return box on my table is mounted about 1/2" inward from the face of the ball storage tray.

    Replacing Gold Crown I Pockets

I'd rather fade the occasional rubber on the shaft than install nail in pockets. You are asking for ball nicks and scratches. I've been using the Gold Crown reproductions from Born Winner. They are lower profile than the originals and do not leave marks. I've used them on my table for about...

Gold crown 1 ball return box install questions

Mine is pretty flush but my table is a later GCI so the ball tray hangs off the rail trim like the aprons.
