What do you guys think of this estimate?

Could have been the install. I have Diamond Blacks on my GCI and they play great.

What do you guys think of this estimate?

FWIW, I would do Brunswick SuperSpeeds or Diamond Blacks and I'd find out how he plans to tighten the pockets.

What do you guys think of this estimate?

Location? Seems waaaaay too inexpensive for the work performed, assuming it was done correctly.

    Steve Leistikow.

What do you guys think of this estimate?

Price is going to depend on location. For an apples to apples comparison, y'all need to provide your location for what you're being quoted and what you've paid. For example, California and Kentucky will have different rates. For "Close pockets to my spec - $250" what exactly are they doing...

    Marks on balls

I made this video of the cleaning solution I use.

    Marks on balls

Yes. You can try just water on an extermely wrung out MF towel. If you have cleaning solution transfer on your table it will appear as a yellow-ish stain.

    Marks on balls

A dime size dot of Aramith Ball Cleaner per ball is way too much. Cut it back by half or 3/4. You're gumming up the pads and the balls are getting too much product on them and are likley transferring it onto the playing surface, most notably the nose of the cushions.

    Marks on balls

I'd clean the pads and use less product.

    Marks on balls

Could be polish marks from friction. I think those spin at a very high RPM causing more friction and heat. When was the last time you cleaned the pads on the machine?

    GC4 ball return pockets

Yes, gullies are the same for 8' and 9' tables. These are the best reproductions you can get. https://8th-zone.com/product/hp-903-gully-pocket-set-fit-brunswick-gold-crown-ii-iii-iv-v-metro/

    Sky weighs in on WPA...

I still say it was contractual. He may not have wanted to throw his sponsor under the bus like Albin did.

    Sky weighs in on WPA...

Maybe I'm a little slow, but how is this analogous to your gambling sceanario? Did something change? As of May 7, 2024, Matchroom denies any WPA sanctioning of its events.

    Sky weighs in on WPA...

No one is assuming. Filler decided not to call it what it is: contractual obligations.
  18. rexus31

    Sky weighs in on WPA...

That's a stretch. It's clear as day to see the decision has everything to do with contractual obligations between he and Predator, who most likely reminded him of said obligations once his copy and paste hit social media. Albin said as much in his reply.

    Sky weighs in on WPA...

How is this analogous to the WNT/WPA scenario. AFAIK, none of the players are being defrauded in any way.
  20. rexus31

    Sky weighs in on WPA...

Are all the players going against their "copy and paste" creedo, Predator sponsored players? Predator sponsored players should never have copied and pasted anything regarding the WPA based solely on knowing the tight ties between Predator and the WPA. How dumb can you be? I've said it before...
