That’s what I did. Cut down the phenolic and used it as a base for a Bulletproof tip.

I learned this on my first repair/finish. I thought I could just do the back end only and blend the finish. Nope. I ended up stripping it all back down and started over.

Finally took some pictures of the shaft. I made a few shafts from pre-tapered blanks already. This was the first one made from a square blank. This makes my cue nearly complete. I would like to make an extension soon as well. I have been enjoying playing with this cue.
