Jb custom case ordered.. now the wait!

Absolutely worth the wait. I have two custom cases. A 2x3 hybrid and a 4x8 butterfly. They were easy to work with and very accommodating for any thing I was looking for. They are very detail oriented. Any issue they had I was consulted with to resolve. Sometimes with pictures of it in stages of...

    Better than Phenolic

I’ve been using a bulletproof tip for a while now. It breaks great and there’s many times I don’t re-chalk before breaking again.

    CRICAL carbon fiber shaft review.

Trick of the trade… I rolled it over to the other side. If needed I sometimes lightly polish the top inch or two of the shaft after polishing the ferrule. Actually fixing deep scratches is a problem. https://forums.azbilliards.com/threads/cf-scratch-repair.557306/

Old(er) Pechauer Butt - Which Pin?

Yes, that will work fine. I've done the same for both the flat face and the piloted.

    Show me your wrapless cues

Well, technically, not wrapless since they’re wrapped in a decal

    Pechauer Cues

JPs are just as well made. Differences already stated above. Pechauer is very easy to work with. There regular cues can be slightly customized on the web site or you can call them for more upgrades or customization. Some people don’t like their proprietary joint pin but you can order it with...

    Mechanical Bridge Designs

Metal versus wood. Metal wins. Don’t want to chance it. The tiger bridge is leather which is not abrasive on the shaft.

Have the same one in my bag. Great when the available ones are metal or just crappy.

    Pechauer Cues

My main player was the one to the left of that one. I got the one like yours a couple years ago. I wanted a spare Pro-shaft and that one was used/like new. I got the whole cue for slightly more than a new shaft. The one on the far right is a Prototype for their Danny Basavich Limited edition...

    Best softer tips...

I’ve had great success with the Ultraskins. I personally play with the Ivory. Thoroughbred and SIB are another good choice.

Cue lathe indicator mounts for sale

Just got a few add-ons to try out. Maybe not life altering, but nice little improvements. The jaw jackets are nice. Don’t have to switch out collets. The dial indicator holder is easier to set up than my DIY version. And the steady rest collet is easier to deal with than the sliced hose piece.

    Funny pic/gif thread...

Saw it earlier today. That was the extent of it except it had sound. Another in the bombardment of AI generated stuff.

    Pechauer Cues

Before I started building my own cues, Pechauer was all I played with. Great cue from a great company. I still use my Pechauer as a break cue. The Black Ice shaft is amazing. Left is still my breaker

    Pechauer Cues

You can order a Pechauer with a different pin if it’s a big deal. I always liked their shafts and the pin is nice so not an issue for me.

Cue Repair Lathe - Made mostly from hobby CNC and 3D printed parts.

I thought the same thing about just investing the money into a real lathe might’ve been better but What I learned from my DIY lathe build was invaluable. Your tips look better than many other first time tips I’ve seen so keep it up. Your lathe looks great. As long as you’re controlling the run...

Have you ever had an old Dufferin sneaky pete (from Canada) converted?

Ok I’ll throw mine in then. They do make nice conversions or use as a blank. This was a one piece conversion. I have another ebony still to convert. Also a couple (not Ebony) that do have the old joint. With my keilwood shaft I just finished.

How many still have the first cue they ever bought?

No it is a Pechauer. The first picture I posted they are all Pechauers, but this is an older picture. First is a Huebler I repaired Second is a Meucci SP I repaired The rest are Pechauers
