New Shaft is out - Triple 60 TS1

Talc is an abrasive like chalk, if you use it you will wear your wooden or CF shaft down, I used a glove when playing with a wooden shaft so there was no adjustment for me.

Any videos of Dr Dave in an actual match?

My buddy hit 28mph at SBE on the radar gun about 15 years ago, best I could do was 13mph......

    Fargo on Bar boxes

You can precisely pocket an object ball dead center of the pocket and get position on your next object ball so poor you don't even have a shot, I know, I'm almost an expert at it.....

Any videos of Dr Dave in an actual match?

SVB has a 30mph or near 30mph break speed, was he taught that or was he born with that? A good coach will recognize YOUR strengths and weaknesses and help tailor the best game for YOU, SVB had a coach that he played in a match, guess who won? It wasn't the coach, at the end SVB said I couldn't...

    Pool Chalk……Constantly Evolving……..What’s the Future?

I thought exactly the same as you, a waste of money, I like chalk holders, I find it distracting to look for the chalk as part of my preshot routine, so I found a chalk holder I wanted but needed to spend $10 more to get free shipping, so I tried the TAOM V 10 chalk with the idea that it was a...

    Fargo on Bar boxes

Just for clarity, INMO a "Bar Box" is a Valley Table 6'6" long and 3' wide, I don't consider a 7' Diamond table a Barbox, some may think a table that small is worthless but it is the only table I have room for and it allows me to practice every day.

    Fargo on Bar boxes

I was so used to missing balls that I just went for shape within 2'-3' of ideal.....that's what I said, pocketing balls and getting position are 2 different skill sets, 2"-3" of shape on a barbox might as well be a mile......

    Pool Chalk……Constantly Evolving……..What’s the Future?

That is my setup, I don't know about 6 racks but you definitely don't need to chalk as often, so that V 10 chalk that lasts forever lasts even longer, is cleaner, now if they can invent missed shot proof chalk.......

Two different animals, you can pocket balls well but not have precise control where the cue ball lands, one skill does not mean you will have the other both must be worked on as they are 2 different skill sets.

I would compare this to Jason Shaw's 832 ball 14.1 run, that was a great run but not something that he does everyday, Bergman is a great player and I'm not knocking him in anyway, I've watched a lot of pro's play on barbox tables and there are a lot of break and runs but I see a lot of those on...

    Fargo on Bar boxes

Breaking up clusters requires a different skill set, you must know and get proper position to make the object ball AND break the cluster AND leave yourself with proper position to continue the run while navigating this in tight spaces, people who run racks on a bar box have superior cue ball...

Mark Wilson on sidespin to pocket balls

My understanding of cut induced throw happens when shooting a long cut shot that you have to shot slow for position, the friction of the cloth causes the angle of the object ball to change(lessen) and needs to be accounted for when aiming, that is my understanding.....

    Fargo on Bar boxes

IMHO you have to be way more precise on a barbox table, there are rarely easy runs where you don't have to break at least one cluster, cue ball position needs to be damn near perfect, and unless you do break and run the balls that were open when you started may not be open later in the rack, the...

JB Ultímate Rugged case: a testimonial

One of the things I love about my JB Rugged case is I no longer need joint protectors, I store my butts down and tips up and can pull the butts out first with 2 fingers, I did have the case made 2" longer so I could leave my 3" extensions on the cue, the shafts are 30", I can turn my case...

    Dime vs Nickel tip

I don't believe tip radius causes miscues, I think tip size 12.5mm and above have a more natural nickel radius and 12.2mm and below have a more natural dime radius, not scientific, JMHO.....

which are the latest most popular cue tips?

If you are like me, if you try a tip and you don't like it you will cut it off and move on to the next one, I was really hesitant to try these, I even contacted them to see if they could give me a hardness scale rating, the answer I got was because they are not leather they don't test like a...

which are the latest most popular cue tips?

any tip compresses....maybe any leather tip, in 5 months of daily play for a minimum of an hour a day my Bulletproof Recoil tip has never needed to be reshaped and plays the same as day one, if there is any wear it's minimal, just started using their break tips, I never say never but I would...

which are the latest most popular cue tips?

I have been using the Bulletproof Recoil tip (green = hard) since March 3rd of this year, I have them on 3 shafts and the consistency of the tips is one of the things I love about them, the tip I used before the Recoil tip was the Taom Fusion, I was surprised at how hard that tip was but I did...
