Video evidence that Cyclop is garbage

If you don't have a ramp handy, do this: Line up four balls along a cue stick, all frozen, in a straight line. Put the ball you're studying in the front, also frozen. Remove cue stick. Take another ball and shoot it straight into the back of the line of balls, which gives a no english, straight...

http://www.billiardsthegame.com/btgtable/ This works well, but you can't draw lines, or at least you have to use some other software.

An Open Discussion about an improper Banning

I like both posters (Watchez and KC), but this was well-played! I declare Watchez the winner of today. Cory

You think it's worth the time and travel to chop $2k? Or you just like to throw around allegations?

    Charley "Hillbilly" Bryant

I don't see anything objectionable about that...it's something lots of people might want to know.

    Charley "Hillbilly" Bryant

I didn't get this from Charley, I got it from local short stop Doug Sharp, but it works: on straight in shots, make the point of aim be where the base of the object ball touches the cloth.

Most of your misses due to poor aim or poor stroke?

I think the effective pocket size (i.e., margin of error on the contact point) is greater for the straight-in shot. Dr. Dave or Bob Jewett can probably provide a nice diagram.

    APA survey

These were my suggestions. 1. APA Masters divisions should allow 5-player rosters. For many people with jobs and kids, it comes up all too often that two players can't make it. Keeps the old timers like me out of Masters. You might find that 5 person rosters vs. 4 actually increases the total...

    Poolrooms In Washington D.C.

I've always meant to go to Central Ave. but haven't made it. I probably wouldn't stop for gas out there, but visiting the pool hall would be fine from everything I've ever heard. Rocket Bar and Continental are good places, but they're definitely in the "bars that happen to have pool tables"...

    Poolrooms In Washington D.C.

Pretty slim pickings inside DC these days. In the city, the only place I'd recommend is Bedrock in Adams Morgan--cool place, tables are straight, not much action. A bit outside of DC is High Cue (Columbia Pike and George Mason, in Arlington). Further out is Cue Club in Annandale. Further out...

    power 1 pocket v2 review

I'm still trying to find time to watch mine, which I'm very much looking forward to! That would be a lot easier to do if I could get the content onto my iPad...I know there's a digital version in the works. In the meantime, is there a good way to get the content from a DVD to my iPad...
