Experiments in looking at the cueball while delivering the stroke.

I am not sure. Shrug 🤷‍♂️ That could be why the girls asked me to be on their league team. Well they needed my 115 average to get the team in as they all carried 175s. 🤷‍♂️ I did learn and had fun doing it. Easy on the eyes was a bonus. 😉

After you win a game a pool...

I did win a t-shirt in a pool tournament. It was awarded to the first couple Out of the battle. Excuse t-shirts that listed them. 🤷‍♂️ My Vietnamese friend in Bellevue told me, "You should have shirt with Tiger on the front and Jack Rabbit on the back." 🤷‍♂️ He knew me well. 🤷‍♂️ 😉

Oh and another observation.. have you noticed how hard Mark's tip is? The sound gives a clue. Shrug 🤷‍♂️ So I guess the observation should include more than just watch. 🤷‍♂️ I will be watching again. 😉

A miners observation of the middle finger tap is reinforcing my ring finger tap. It brings me to the Barry Stark coaching of ring finger as the trigger. I use the ring finger tap to remind myself. 🤷‍♂️ 😉 old timers method. Perhaps my earliest piano lessons are now paying a dividends. Goat...

I thought that as well, until I watched Mark post 2 in one match. Both incredible feats and impressive for different reasons. Ronnie's perfect execution and Mark's make it work even when not exactly as planned.

Mark Williams has at times proved your point by looking away or even eyes closed. Well the first shot is object ball last. 🤷‍♂️

After you win a game a pool...

That's worth putting on a note and attach to the cue case so it's seen each time the cue is removed. This topic reminds me of a loss to a weaker player. I offered my dignified handshake while stiffling my disappointment. The young player was So Happy that he stepped inside the extended hand...

Experiments in looking at the cueball while delivering the stroke.

This fastest 147 by Ronnie provides quite a contrast. Only twice does Ronnie break rhythm to walk around and quickly assess the desired shape for the next ball. While Mark in his stellar accomplishment multiple times had to sort of chuckle at his less than perfect shape. Then he re assessed...

I think the Yogi ism is, "observe a lot by watching. "Hmmmm? Oh I tried to emulate him as a little league catcher. Assessment, yeah that's the ticket. An Assessment. 🤷‍♂️

    Practice what I Preach

Good morning Aug 9 2025. The Aproach A Challenge Daily exercise Bring back The Feeling. That Lovin' Feeling Oh, the feeling of, "If I get to shoot, I will win." Culminated my from behind run to tie it "on the hill" Drat that alternate break format!!!! He snapped the 9. 🤷‍♂️ finding My Focus is...

    Practice what I Preach

The pointer is my latest addition to the card set. As a launch platform for 3 ball, it takes some interesting flights. Alignment previous the shot gives me a cognition exercise.....I think 🤔 headscratch 🤷‍♂️ Using the targets and launch platforms slightly saves wear on the equipment and the...

    Practice what I Preach

It's a medical device. Hmmm, if it had legs......it could.....?🤔 Reminds me of my competitors' reaction to my jump shot off the tall bridge. He ran for the rules, as I had made the shot and drawn to perfect shape on the 8 ball. 🤷‍♂️ Oh the memories. 😉 It's knot funny . It provides a more...

The medical devices . Kinda like a clip on for an assault weapon. 🤷‍♂️ 😉 A silk scarf might be the better tool. The cotton version from the rag bag works but has a large knot. Grip size comfort is critical, ....hmmmmm. Better go recon the wife's clothes closet.

    Practice what I Preach

Semi final #2, at the Shanghai Masters. Wilson vs Zhao. Oh gosh. Wilson a poster boy for Barry Stark and Zhao most likely a student at a university featuring Ronnie o'sullivan teach. I am looking forward to study of the form and occasionally eye pattern.

    What glove do you use?

Wearing a single glove is a Tell. 🤷‍♂️ When the competition is too lop sided....shoot with the other hand. 🤷‍♂️ I was amazed at the quick progress. Teaching as learning is a skill. Some call it leadership. My moto is, Lead, Follow or Get Ou of the Way! 🤷‍♂️ Build a solid foundation every...

    What glove do you use?

They work for me. The compression gives relief of the arthritis in my thumbs. My career as a carpenter contributed to my arthritis. 🤷‍♂️ I keep 2 pair with the oldest pair showing more wear as work gloves and the new pair for pool. When the work pair expires a new pair is cycled in. My play...

    Private Tournament at Home ?

My Fargo touched 630 for a week. It hung in 620-25 range a couple of years. That was when I played as a Master in the BCAPL. As a Master, I won only one match....it was vs a Grand Master. 🤷‍♂️ Ooops enough with the credits. 😉 I trained with different levels of competition. A group of...
