Most Asian Billiard rooms I have been to usually do not have table light fixtures but have lighting from the ceiling. I actually like the brightness of the rooms versus ones where it is really dark except for the playing area of the table.

Awesome!!! Any time someone can talk a pool hall owner into purchasing a good Carom table is a good thing for the game.:) I must be doing something wrong. The local pool hall where I live has yanked the old Carom table, which was a very bad table, and in its place installed a Karaoke bar.:(
