I don't think even Shane does what he says. Sure, it might be part of his pre shot routine but when he gets down on the shot he can see the cb/ob/pocket alignment and he'll just know that it looks on. That's the final check before firing away, not whether his tip is positioned here or there.

Nice idea but I think you need to edit out everything between shots. Watching the ceiling spinning around for the majority of the time is unwatchable. Not trying to be difficult. I just couldn't watch it. I know you also mentioned this.

I think Poolology does actually put you on the exact shot line in many cases. You do have to be able to visualize and shoot at the designated fraction but the system gives you a near exact solution to put the ball in the pocket and not just close.

I think you are talking about two things at the same time. Your title implies poor mechanics but then you discuss "boring" strokes. I don't see them being the same thing. I don't assume a guy sucks because his mechanics are simple. It's often the other way around!

What is not fun is trying to have a logical and science oriented discussion with people who can't get beyond emotion.
