I have the TV Aramith set and Arcos 2. Both have burnt my cloth with regular use. Break spots, tracks by rails on 9 ball and 10 ball breaks and lines to the rack. No way on earth there is a ball out there that won't burn. Unless you only play one pocket. But the Arcos cue ball stays cleaner...

Could be. Either way I wouldn't want that pocket mod done that way. Better to just suck it up and do it right.

Maybe using a template to match the angle opening by trimming thick pieces of rubber to replicate the pocket opening, then recovering rails? Other than that I have no clue.

I have not found a cleaner that reduces visibility of burns. Mine is tracked out like crazy after a year and a half. I vacuum, X-1 then hit it with a mist of spray cleaner like Quick Clean and wipe that down. It has never helped reduce the burn marks. If somebody has found a way, I'd give it...

Very possible, and quite likely better because you could use the right rubber shims and make them the correct angle. I did not mention it, but it includes enough for all 6 pockets.

No kidding. They are 4.75" currently. Keeps ya super honest lol. Makes every other side pocket feel like a basketball hoop. Mark suggested 4.5" sides with 4 1/8" corners. But I just can't do that.
