    Doc Frye and Balabushka connection

While researching a cue, I came across a curious listing for a Doc Frye cue: “Vintage 1960’s Doc Frye Cue was purchased used in The Fusco’s pool Room (Philadelphia) early 1980’s ,,, cue is vintage and more then likely being a Doc Frye right from Balabushkas shop if anyone knows Doc Frye...

    JB CASE - Huntsville

Thanks. I was just curious because the construction resembles an old case that I had just bought , and I was trying to learn more about it. Arne Mason? Seller insists it’s a cue case.

Incidentally, the other object balls all weigh the same as the bumble bee. The cue ball is 164g. The seller did say that the cue ball may be a replacement. The 2 and 7 are darker in color than what I’ve seen in Rachig 9-ball sets.

Nice mixed lot that I picked-up. Anybody have an extra matching 20-ball for sale? The red/white/blue ball was a mystery early in this thread: Does it seem to go with this Baseball set? Does anyone know what the solid green ball is?

Entire point center fell clean out.

If it means turning-down the cue, I think I’d rather just have it filled with epoxy or something and refinished.

Entire point center fell clean out.

I‘ve seen pieces broken out of points, but I I’ve never seen this. Found it interesting. How involved of a repair is this, not having the missing piece? Thanks
