Buzz, but only when screwed together.

No. This is something else. Mr. Webb helped find the likely culprit.

Buzz, but only when screwed together.

Tried a different shaft and the buzz is still there. I guess it’s something in the joint.

Buzz, but only when screwed together.

I have an old Palmer that has a little bit of a buzz when I tap the forearm of the assembled cue. There is no buzz when I tap on the pieces individually. What could be the cause: Worn insert threads?

Is this my Cue? (Luther Lassiter’s Tad)

Wish I could see the whole thing. Wrap, unfortunately, has been recently changed.

    Jerry Franklin Southwest Cue

If you sell, be prepared to hear the sad song of many a goofball lowballer bemoaning that the cue will need a refinish and new shafts and how much South West will charge for the work that they may or may not be accepting at the moment.

How do I train myself to avoid dropping my elbow

Scott stood a coke bottle filled with sand above my elbow, and had me shoot keeping the bottle on my arm. Remember your “template” and the spot that you’re supposed to be finishing to on every shot. Hope this helps

    is this guy a scam

How does one expect to get burned when eBay holds the money until both delivery and satisfaction are confirmed? They pull the listings every 2-3 days and relist using a rotation of accounts. Why? I don’t know… Actually I have some ideas. I was going to buy an old McDaniel but it sold. New...

    is this guy a scam

The Japanese were completely cue-crazy for a long time and always paid the most. Ebay holds the funds for something like a month after delivery is confirmed. Hacked accounts/scams usually have a photo in the listing with payment instructions outside of eBay.

    Vintage Cue???

    I don’t think it’s a Horn either. That’s actually why I bought it.

    Vintage Cue???

I‘m sure the cue predates Jerry R.’s cues. -R- like Horn built a lot of “tribute” cues after two great masters.

Cue builders with pins in the shaft

John Nemic/Nemec? did it on the Deano cues. If you’re asking because of a certain two cues that may or may not be for sale at the moment, I think they could be Nemics/Nemecs but what do I know. Caveat emptor.

Are they made by Tad? If yes, what is the approximate age of the set?

    Vintage Cue???

I bought it as a Verl Horn based on the seller having a similar marked cue. (I hope he doesn’t mind my using his pictures.) Little details just made the one I bought stand out: Wider, longer points. Cleaner veneers. Wider rings. Butt cap. Pin looks a little different. Trim ring in butt seems...
