    Brunswick cushion problem

My (Professional FWIW) recommendation would be to either #1 eat the cost of the rail cloth (minimal compared to whole table) as the expense of learning associated with DIY and replace them all now, or #2 practice your jumps and masse's, beat the hell out of that cloth and do it all at the same...

    Which cushions for my table?

Yeah, that's not that far off. I was thinking the same thing as Jack. He's building labor into what he's quoting you.

    Brunswick cushion problem

Agreed. Have them all replaced at the same time so you have a matched set. Otherwise, you'll likely be replacing more in another year or two and they'll never play consistent. You cloth will need replaced at the same time, so plan on having that done all together.

Olhausen Table Id? Also Olhausen Table ?

Basically. I'd mark the slates and frame so you know how they were oriented when you put them back together. Avoid taking the frame apart if you can. Those frames are squared and leveled at the factory, and the corner trim pieces are pin nailed to the frame. If you can just take the legs off...

Olhausen Table Id? Also Olhausen Table ?

That model is a Drake. It is one of their more popular models. The laminate series are not solid wood construction frames, but the rails are still solid wood on all of their tables. The frame will still have the same top liner on it as the solid wood version. They are a pretty good home...

    Pool table Identification please

Yup, I service your area. I am planning on being in the area for the DCC, so maybe we could work something out if you want the work done around then. Shoot me a PM if you're interested in talking details.

Is the shop vac pro too strong??

Does it have a rotating beater bar? Or are you literally saying it sucked the cloth up off of the table?

    Diamond pocket question

Sounds good. Have a merry Christmas and I'll talk to you soon.

    Diamond pocket question

Ian, call me. I do plenty of recalibrations, extensions, etc. Opening your pockets up would be easy. I could open them all the way up to league cut, or some happy medium if you'd like. Are you still in Cincy?

    7' yes. 8' no.

    Tournament Felt

There might be a couple. Many of us do this for a living though, so although the information is pretty much all here, DIYers might have to do the searching themselves too. For worsted cloth, Simonis or Championship are going to be the best. Simonis also sells very good DVDs on how to...

    rail cushion facings

They protect the end of the rail from the repeated impact of the balls, and protect the balls from the repeated impact against the end of the rail.

    olhausen t-nuts

I'm of the opinion that if you're going to go to the trouble to fix them, you should fix them properly. They are spinning because they've been cross-threaded and the teeth on the t-nuts have been pulled out of the wood and flattened. Epoxy MAY work, and I guess you could try it before breaking...

Breaking Super Glue Seal on Three Piece Slate

In theory, that's what the pins are there for, but just because slate is pinned doesn't mean it can't/won't shift.

    Brunswick Medalist Rail Replacement

That's what I was going to say. No offense, but the questions you're asking are pretty basic. It's safe to say you're in over your head and likely won't be happy with the results.

    olhausen t-nuts

It could make a difference in how tight the rail is to the slate and how solid it plays. It is possible to fix those, but there's definitely some work involved. Your installer is telling you it won't matter because he doesn't know how to or doesn't want to do the work to fix them. Check out...

Breaking Super Glue Seal on Three Piece Slate

I just want to post for you or anyone else reading this...it's a really bad idea to lift from the end slate to try to separate the pieces. ESPECIALLY when the slate is pinned like yours, you'll most likely blow out the slate around the pins. You definitely need to score or dissolve the glue to...

Leveling problem with Olhausen Table....help please

If the frame has sagged in the middle, the slate may have to be brought up to make it level with the ends. Ideally, as much of the slate as possible will be touching the frame, but with a sagged frame, that's not always possible.

    Sanding Pocket Facings?

Whoever installed the new rubber cut it short at the end of the rail rather than flush. Sanding the facings won't help. It is correct that the facing just mounts to the end of the rail, so will follow whatever is going on underneath it.

A Grateful Thanks to RKC and Josh Ebert

Thank you for the kind words. I always enjoy working for/with people who recognize and appreciate the effort we put towards doing good work. I'm not saying the average amateur home owner with a furniture table aren't just as important to our business. Sometimes though, they wouldn't know the...
