anybody have a piece of 818 rail bumper?

Your chances of finding just one spare piece of that profile are pretty slim. Rubber should be replaced in sets anyway. If one piece is bad, what makes you think the rest are good? They'll be bad soon as well. If you want to invest in the table before selling it, do it right. If it's not...

    Diamond Coin-Op Smart Table

Nope. Turn that barrel key to horizontal and it should allow the balls to roll freely through the teeter. If it doesn't, you may have another issue.

    New Method For Attaching Cloth?????

You should watch the video with an open mind before you assert your opinion on it. As bad as John came off at times, at least he was willing to experiment and innovate to try to find a better way. I'm not saying I'll use the tape. I'll probably keep doing tables the way I'm doing them. I...

    Vintage Sears table question

I don't know the Riviera specifically, but I've seen a lot of those Sears tables that didn't even have rubber...they had more of a foam padding that wrapped around the front of the rail. Many of them are built in a way that they're not even really meant to be recovered. The table just isn't...

How to tell if its a Olhausen or brunswick?

Exactly...Diamond and Brunswick have a thicker rail but to take K55. Olhausen rails are not as thick and are cut to play good with K66. Accu-fast is a good playing rubber in my opinion, but the problem with them is at the ends of the rails. Between the facings and angles, you have a lot of...

How to tell if its a Olhausen or brunswick?

The K55 play good on a table made to take K55 rubber, or on rails modified to accept K55 rubber. The pocket angles could be corrected on your table and even with Accu-fast cushions, with the right facings, Olhausen rails can play very good. PM me if you'd like some more information. Where...

How to tell if its a Olhausen or brunswick?

Those older Olhausens take a K66

How to tell if its a Olhausen or brunswick?

I think your guess is right. Slate, frame, and rails all look like Olhausen. That frame does look like the Sheraton design.

    SBE Al Conte Dinner

Due to John being banned, I'll take the reigns here. I'll be planning our outing for the SBE Mechanic/Installer dinner. I think in light of the recent events on the forum, and to start with a clean slate (pun intended), maybe we should change the venue. Let's give this group of guys a fresh...

    ARTEMIS vs SUPERSPEED RAILS

What part of Indiana are you in? Depending on your area, myself or Jack Zimmerman (JZmechanic) should be able to help you in replacing your rubber and recovering the table.

    ARTEMIS vs SUPERSPEED RAILS

Yes, both are a K55 profile cushion.

What's the proper height of a table

According to the BCA and the WPA, the acceptable range for playing surface height is 29-1/4" to 31". This accounts for uneven floors where one end is higher than the other to make the table level.

    OTLB vs AZB forum mechanics

Seriously, John, now I'm going to get dragged into this? Have we ALL lost our sense of humor? I have nothing against you at all, and I'm not taking sides in this. It didn't matter who that came from, I took it as a joke. I personally think we all need to lighten up and laugh a little...

    Cutting and shaping slate

John, I don't think you were personally attacked. I think a joke was made by one of your peers, and I honestly think in this instance you over-reacted. I could be wrong, but I took it as just a joke. If I had been in your shoes and he said the same thing, "Ouch, you got me on that one, HAHA!"...
