Alex said in a video a while back that he was having his own line of chalk made by Toam so it's definitely made by them. Wether it's exactly the same as V10 and Pyro , who knows.

So if you weren't sure of the rail width 6' from the cushion nose would be plenty of room.

Do you all go by 5 feet from the outer edge of the rails or 5 feet from the edge of the playing surface/tip of the cushion?

I believe the gullies from each pocket are a hard plastic down to the main gully. I would want to put any soft I the main gully as it may create a stuck ball. You can put something like a thin yoga mat at the mouth of the ball return to cushion the the balls as they stop. Some have done that...

Sam has been building these tables for years as the Ksteel so they are not new to building steel frame tables.

Rasson tables aren't steel framed if i remember right. They are aluminum. Kim Steel and Predator are steel as they are basically the same table.

Ive also heard keeping everything perfectly square while getting everything tight can be a pain as well.

The Predator tables are a Sam's table with the Predator name stuck on them. I've heard the Sam's Ksteels could be a pain to put together and get right.

I don't think it's V10 I seem to remember him talking about working with Toam to make his own formula. Now how much different I don't know.

I see Alex Pagulayan has his exclusive chalk out now. It suppose to be an exclusive formula made by Toam for him I believe. It's square and come in blue or green.

Wouldn't wood reduce it better than steel or aluminum?
