can typical break cue characteristics can be improved

Those are attributes to the cheaper end break cues. The mass produced crap. Once you get into the middle/high end break cues, most of what you described is not found on the cue. They have near pro tapers, 12.8mm on average for tip size, a better quality ferrule to help the tips stay one. Cheap...

Top 10 Safeties You Must Master

Top Rotation Game Safeties. None of those safeties are really valid for anything but rotation games. Your kick and sticks seem to have quite a bit of left over side spin.....

    Measles Ball

So you’ve admit that this whole thread is a farce? You don’t care about the truth? That sum it up correctly? Go start shit elsewhere. This is not where you can spout bullshit and not be expected to be called on it.

    Measles Ball

Well you better start caring because that directly affects everything you’re trying to talk about. Either weigh your balls, or just drop it.

    Measles Ball

But people do. Unintentionally most of the time though. Lack of understanding the information in front of you leads to bad final statements. You didn’t do your due diligence when dealing with proper conditions. New ball vs used. Clean vs dirty. Polished vs unpolished. The list can go on and on...

BHE - Not An Exact Science

I use a combination of FHE and BHE to align my cue so I can use my shaft sides as proper aim points. Which is an exact technique/method that has repeatability to it. Don’t be going around spouting misinformation when you only see half the picture.

    Practice Shaft vs Play Shaft

Is there a single sport where somebodies practice equipment is different than their competition equipment? No. They use devices to cause extra strain/effort, but the core objects are the same. Tiger doesn’t practice with a different set of clubs. Formula1 doesn’t have practice cars with...

Crooked Pro Pool Strokes in Video

Not buying it. You screwed up, and rather than fixing the video with a reshoot you’ve decided to argue to over a month now. Instead now you’ve opened up a whole new can of worms. Now that you’re retired, are you going to take the time to fix your years of mistakes in your videos? Or you just...

Crooked Pro Pool Strokes in Video

Now you’re making excuses. In that shot Samm played, that is the whole point of this controversy. You’re telling me, her stroke didn’t look crooked in person. That she was lined up correctly, and that you’re table is level. Which one of those three things do you suspect went wrong? My money is...

Crooked Pro Pool Strokes in Video

A stroke doesn’t need to be crooked more than a couple millimeter or so to produce these effects you’re seeing. Simply put, a cue from the proper perspective could look entirely straight with no taper to it. Cues, from a near to far perspective behave in the exact opposite manner than typical...

Crooked Pro Pool Strokes in Video

You’re taking the focus points of a 3D imaging, losing their Z-axis relation to the camera and expecting me to believe Samm’s stroke is still straight? Her stroke is crooked for one simple reason. The cue ball should have drawn straight back to its starting point. Instead it goes off to her...

Went back to wood last night.

In the era of Earl being sponsored by either Meucci or Cuetec, please enlighten us as to which cue company has ever sponsored Efren.

Went back to wood last night.

You got quite the attitude towards these carbon shafts. Using your logic, why doesn’t Tiger Woods play with a steel shafted wood headed driver? Because of performance reasons. There are currently about 120+ different golf driver shafts out there, that sell quite well. Different kick points...

What are the reasons not to set the pin with super glue?

And the CA could still be a liquid down there too. Don't forget that epoxies cure via a chemical reaction within their perspective parts being combined. CA glues cure via an oxygen exposure. A large pool of CA trapped under a joint pin could potentially take weeks or months to dry. Yes ever...

What are the reasons not to set the pin with super glue?

Solution, get a taper tap, plug tap(normal tap), and a bottoming tap. And in a couple cases, I have a finishing tap with no chamfer to start to do a finishing tap. Eliminates a lot of the dead space.

    LD Shafts/Tip Hardness?

Those conditions are certainly a justification for a softer tip, not a requirement. People who tend to have a weaker stroke like a softer tip as is. Coupled with fast conditions....it’s obvious to see why some people hate hard tips.

Best OTC Cement for Cue Tips?

Do not use that style of cutter for anything other than parting off. It’s sharp on the front, the sides where a right->left cutting for tip trimming is dull.

Best OTC Cement for Cue Tips?

The slower the better. But not too slow. Due to the dual bevel of a razor blade, you’ll **** up some ferrules in the learning process. I’ve transitioned from using razor blades to a specialty ground blade. Completely flat on the bottom, with one side ground to the point(single bevel). It’s...
