Is it correct to assume because of the cloth/conditions/slippage/pro events? And the stiffer shafts out there, a softer tip MUST be used????

Those conditions are certainly a justification for a softer tip, not a requirement. People who tend to have a weaker stroke like a softer tip as is. Coupled with fast conditions....it’s obvious to see why some people hate hard tips.
