Eliminating / minimizing english has helped my game

I think changing game around, adjusting things is part of anyone learning curve. I myself did this also. started play fancy pool with a lot of english, needless to say I used an LD then. Then I switched to custom cue and played a non-LD shaft, tried to minimize spin, it's like starting to...

mezz power break 2 vs predstor bk3 (if u had to choose)

you are spot on about the tip Ralf, I cant say enough about how much i hate the sonic tip. changed to Samsara tip on my friend's mezz breaker and it's the beast now. sadly I gave him my last samsara and dont have one for my cue now. about BK3 vs PB2, I find the mezz to be a harder cue, breaks...

    Full Splice vs. Regular Cues

I do share this with you, I am not sure why, definitely not the "feel" factor but when I play with my fullsplice sugartree I got to a higher level of finesse and cue ball accuracy than other cue

    Full Splice vs. Regular Cues

I have 1 cored cue by wes hunter, 1 fullsplice by eric crisp and 1 a-jointed cue by eric crisp (with uncored forearm and handle). honestly I loved them all and got on well with all of them after a few months play. with eric and wes allegedly share there shaft wood, I would say the difference in...

    Dealing with Slow Players

I used to be annoyed by slow play, not anymore now, everyone has their tempo and I have mine, when I am at the table I play my tempo, that's it.

any reasonably priced curly maple break cue and jump cue out there?

bump this up, still looking for a 5/16x14 maple looking butt or break cue, matching jump cue also if any. to be specific, below is my playing cue and i want simple maple plain butt like that, if butt only must be 5/16x14, if whole cue can be any joint pin. thanks, Cuong.

    Preferred Shaft Size (Regular Maple)

I have played with 13.2, 12.8, 12.6 and now a 12.2 shaft, just needed some time to get used to, now I really like my slim shaft. of course those are all conventional solid maple shafts, I cant stand LD anymore

How good are you with your opposite hand?

I used to be quite good with my left, but since I started relying on extensions, I got worse, now I am rid of my extension and I got better again. I can do shots with my left, without extreme english and power :). not only extension, I got rid of the jump cue and my kicking and positioning got...

    Tip Profile: Show Your Shizz

well, I have tried most of the popular tips out there, Kamui, G2, Zan etc and Tad I like the most. this tip was actually installed on a fatter shaft, I played a while with it and changed to a thinner shaft, I removed the tip and installed on the thin shaft. so it has been with me for almost a...

    Alanvo is a thief!!!

He switched between vietnam and australia and as I know of, he is residing in Melbourne, australia, and he does play some pool there, and of course try to buy/sell some cues. Mike, you are correct about the fx control policy in vietnam, we have to be a business entity to be able to transfer...

    Alanvo is a thief!!!

Alanvo tried to sell the exact "sugartree" in Vietnam and here before I think. He made his "marks" in Vietnam also with his dealings. I am pretty sure he "previously" owned this fake cue, and I am not sure if Vince Adams is a real man or not, if he is real then Alanvo must have scammed him...
