Pros or cons playing with light shaft (approximately 3.0 oz)

I at least used to respect his conviction, but over the past few weeks it went from 'a shaft has to be an exact percentage' to 'there is about a 1oz range' to 'if it feels good, it's good'. But it still needs ivory...

What do you think would happen if there were no handicaps, in any leagues or tournaments, and all tournaments were Open to all skill levels?

Going two and out is precisely how I improved at foosball in my twenties playing against nationally ranked players with no handicaps.

Makes more sense to me. I'll get flack for it, but I think limited Scotch doubles is a great format for mixing skill levels the handicap is built in without really being a manufactured handicap. The benefits include: each player takes the same number of shots within a few; the bad players...

That is a lawsuit waiting to happen. They used a logging hook in a lifting situation. Lifting hooks are required to have a closure to prevent rigging release.

I'm the recent past I've seen non-handicapped tourneys last for years supported by player who have no chance of ever winning the tourney.

What do you think would happen if there were no handicaps, in any leagues or tournaments, and all tournaments were Open to all skill levels?

How do handicaps help with sitting in the chair when playing a better player? It's isn't that hard. Handicaps give lower players a chance to get a trophy and say, 'i won't by making fewer balls and winning fewer games. Yippee. I guess most people need that bs. I don't and will never...

What do you think would happen if there were no handicaps, in any leagues or tournaments, and all tournaments were Open to all skill levels?

I don't see where someone gets more out of it in your scenarios. It is still a cookie--it only means something emotionally. It is ego stroking without logic.

What do you think would happen if there were no handicaps, in any leagues or tournaments, and all tournaments were Open to all skill levels?

The problem is that 'winning' due to a handicap is still losing, you are just getting rewarded for losing.

What do you think would happen if there were no handicaps, in any leagues or tournaments, and all tournaments were Open to all skill levels?

Anyone who doesn't want to compete against the best has no interest in being the best they can be, they just want a cookie. I don't need a cookie, I make my own. I want the challenge. I want to see what they do to me so I can improve.

I'd love it if I liked our completed in any of those sports. I used to play competitive foosball and for a couple of years Tony Spredeman (look him up) came to our weekly tourneys. He was only #3 in the world then, tho.

Getting steady rest / 3 jaw bearing chuck aligned and centered

We are generally on the same page, but here I'm not positive I fully agree with you. I definitely don't exactly disagree with you on this, but there are fine ways to accomplish anything one needs without a large bore lathe. There are still challenges and learning curves associated with a...

    DIY Pool Table Light

Your delivered power could have fluctuated. I've seen my brother, a master electrician, test incoming voltage that turned out to be significantly low and high. Flexibility in a design is always a good thing and I didn't mean to suggest it wasn't a good idea.

If your leds are coming that quickly, there are probably other factors at play, likely lack of heat dissipation or poor voltage regulation. Dimming LEDs properly is a bit more complicated than a normal rheostat and you need dimmable LEDs.
