I picked up some hardware in Vegas!

That's why the trophy is so big... Tough to tell from the photo, but it's all of 4" in diameter. :D

Tough tournament, but lots of fun!

    What a tool!!!

False. If she indeed did not shake his hand after the match, I am judging her. She had an opportunity to take the high road but didn't. But she's a good kid, she'll be fine.

    What a tool!!!

I agree. Also, I hate the "picking on a little girl" narrative. Savannah has more games in fargo than most of us, and she's a legit touring professional nowadays. She should know better than to not at least say "three ball" before pulling the trigger. I bet she learns from this. I also...

Some evidence of what I have long suspected about Fargorating

I'd stake myself. I know you were exaggerating, but if he decides to smoke a joint, I'll head over and play some sets with him.

    End of the US Open?

I bet you could if you paid enough. They just charge more because people care about baseball.

World 10-Ball Championships, Feb-Mar 2024, Las Vegas, The Rio

My car was stolen out of their parking garage at last year's event. I asked security if they checked the cameras and he said they don't even work. I did get comped a free breakfast though. :)

    End of the US Open?

I see your point, I just don't think it matters. Literally nobody is watching unless they're already a pool player. I don't see any prestige in any of the pool events. If this is the direction Matchroom wants to go, then I'll be ok with it, but I like watching one of my buddies get on the...

    End of the US Open?

Also, when we reach the status of golf, I'll go ahead and agree we shouldn't be showing the 650 players.

    End of the US Open?

Lots do. Lots of people also enjoy the underdogs. It's the same as any event, watch the matches you want and tune out for the matches you don't. What's the harm in them playing?

    End of the US Open?

I understand why you feel that way, but I like the "open" nature of it. How do you think it hurts the game?

    Dumbest tournament rule ever???

If I'm not mistaken, one of the players that moved his ball before the lag was left handed and lagging from the left side of the table (from the lagger's perspective). He had no room to even stand for the lag.

    End of the US Open?

I think it does more good than bad. It won't affect the die-hard fans, but it may introduce the event to a lot of the dead money's hometown followers. I love it when they throw a 650 on the streamed table against a champion instead of two of the usual suspects. How many more SVB vs FSR...

I love watching the dead money play the Open. Always makes me feel better about myself.

Some evidence of what I have long suspected about Fargorating

I think everyone (for the most part) agrees with his argument. The main problem is that it doesn't matter how seriously he takes the game during league since we can't know how seriously any of his opponents were taking it. It's moot. I'm in the same boat he is. So are many of us. What does...

Some evidence of what I have long suspected about Fargorating

I I'd play SVB if he was stoned, drunk, and only had one eye open. :) I'll even spot him the first break.

    Las Vegas Open

I'm guessing it's because they hold these events in conjunction with the league tournaments. Every time I'm there watching the people seem to love it. I think there is one good thing about it. Until the last ball is pocketed, either player still has a reasonable chance to win. You can get...

    Dumbest tournament rule ever???

They did change the shootout format at least. They play a third set to determine the winner, it goes to a shootout if its hill/hill in the third set.

Who is the best pool player in the world and how much do they earn?

I'll start. Joshua Filler. Guessing around 200k/year.
