My least favorite rule, although I understand and accept their reasoning, is that if you only make the 8-ball on the break (in the open, not the shootout) it spots and you lose your turn at the table.

Yes. Mostly the differences should be around the clock since there is not a ref assigned to each table. Also, hard to enforce all ball fouls without a ref.

No one has to bend over. The ref immediately hands you the extra cue ball he carries with him since you're on the clock as soon as the balls stop rolling.
