I think Selftaut has it right. If you look at the rules they say: 20. Cue ball fouls only If there is no referee presiding over a match, it may be played using cue ball fouls only. That is, touching or moving any ball other than the cue ball would not be a foul unless it changes the outcome...

How does this progression get measured? I play in two rooms, in one I am one of the best players in the other I need a ton of weight. I guess in one room I would be an "A" player in the other maybe a "B-". Do you average the two, have different rankings in different rooms.

I just rewatched that section of the Reyes v West match. It was only a 15 point penality. One commentator states "It was a 15 point foul when I started playing 30 years ago." Andy

Thanks for the update. I'm surprised there were only 13 players. I sure wish we could get more players involved in straight pool. 9-ball players can learn alot about their game playing some straight pool. JMHO Andy
